Regie.ai Review for Australia: A Free Way In, Still Built for US Sellers

The gate: Five stars need 21+ and Australian Fit of at least 4/5.
Skip to the verdictUSD prices are converted at A$1 = US$0.6970 (RBA, 7 Oct 2026), so US$1 ≈ A$1.43, and shown ex-GST. A GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service; other buyers should allow ~10% on top (Methodology).
Verdict (TL;DR): Regie.ai is no longer a five-figure enterprise purchase. Its RegieGO workspace now starts free, Pro costs US$49 a month (about A$70) and you can cancel any time. That fixes our biggest complaint from June. The product is a capable AI prospecting desk: agents build lists, enrich contacts, draft emails in your voice and line up calls. But Regie's own privacy policy says the service is intended for US-based business use and processes data in the US. Nothing in it is built for Australia, and the Spam Act risk of AI-written outreach sits with you. Try the free plan if you sell mainly into the US. If your buyers are Australian, start with Apollo.io.

What Regie.ai is
Regie.ai is a San Francisco sales-software company, founded in 2020. Its product today is RegieGO, which Regie calls "an agentic sales workspace with built-in enrichment, emailing, dialing and workflows". It is aimed at account executives, SDRs and founders who do their own prospecting.
The idea is that AI agents do the grind of outbound sales. They build a list of target accounts, find and verify contact details, research each prospect, draft the email and queue the call. The rep reviews, sends and talks. Regie says the agents "run the research, list building, dialing, and follow-up on a schedule".
In June we reviewed Regie's earlier enterprise packages, sold under the RegieOne name with five- and ten-seat minimums. Those packages no longer appear on Regie's pricing page. The old RegieOne web address now opens the RegieGO page.
What it costs in Australia
Regie bills in US dollars. There is no AUD price. These are the plans on regie.ai/pricing, read on 8 October 2026 (the same figures showed from Australia on 1 October).
| Plan | USD a month | Approx. AUD a month (ex-GST) | Credits | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | US$0 | A$0 | 250 per person, one-off, never expire | Up to 10 people trying it |
| Pro | US$49 (US$41 billed annually) | ~A$70 (~A$59 annually) | 5,000 a month (60,000 up front on annual) | One rep; adds the power dialler |
| Team | US$150 a seat (US$125 annually) | ~A$215 a seat (~A$179 annually) | 15,000 a seat a month, pooled | Two seats minimum; shared CRM and prospect list |
| Enterprise | By quote | By quote | Volume pricing | Custom CRM sync, analytics, account manager, SOC 2 |
Converted at US$1 ≈ A$1.43 (RBA, 7 Oct 2026), ex-GST.
What you actually pay. One rep on Pro, billed annually, is about A$704 a year (US$492). The smallest Team, two seats billed annually, is about A$4,290 a year (US$3,000). Compare that with the A$30,000-plus minimums we recorded in June. Pro and Team are self-serve with no contract, and you can cancel from billing settings.
The catch is the credits. Research, drafting, enrichment and dialling all burn credits. When they run out, the work pauses until the next billing period unless the workspace owner switches on capped overage billing. Regie says you cannot buy extra credits on their own, and paid-plan credits do not roll over. Regie does not publish how many credits each action uses, so you cannot work out in advance how many prospects 5,000 credits covers. Use the free 250 credits to measure it before you pay.
GST. A GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN should not be charged GST on this imported service. Check the first invoice.
How it works in practice
RegieGO runs on four moving parts.
- List building and enrichment. You describe your ideal customer. The agents find matching accounts and contacts, using what Regie calls "a contact-data waterfall seven providers deep, mobile numbers included". Regie says enrichment costs nothing when it finds nothing, and every contact is verified before an email goes out.
- Signals. The workspace tracks buying signals such as funding rounds, executive changes and hiring, and uses them to rank who to contact now.
- Drafting. The email composer writes messages that Regie says learn "your voice and your company's pitch", with a "why now" reason drawn from the signals. Outreach can run across email, LinkedIn and phone.
- Sending and calling. Email goes out from your own connected Gmail or Outlook account, throttled, with unsubscribes handled by Regie. On Pro and above, the power dialler supports parallel dialling and local numbers you pick by area code.
RegieGO includes its own CRM, so a new team can start with nothing. If you run HubSpot, Salesforce or Monday CRM, it syncs your records in and can write its work back. Each workspace connects one CRM.
What it does well
You can now try it for nothing. A work email gets you 250 credits and the full agent set, with no card. In June the only way in was an annual contract worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Pro is priced like a tool, not a hire. About A$70 a month for one rep, with a dialler included, is in the same range as the self-serve sales tools it competes with.
It does the whole outbound loop in one place. List, enrichment, research, draft, send and call sit in one workspace with a built-in CRM. A founder doing their own selling does not need four subscriptions to get started.
It sends from your own mailbox. Using your Gmail or Outlook account, with verification and throttling, protects your domain better than a bulk-sending platform. Regie handles unsubscribes for you.
No lock-in on the self-serve plans. Pro and Team cancel at any time. Annual plans are paid up front, so cancelling stops the renewal rather than refunding the year.
What it doesn't do well
Regie says it is built for US businesses. Its privacy policy, updated 4 August 2026, says the service "is intended for US-based business use" and that Regie processes personal information in the United States. An Australian team can sign up, but it is using a product its maker scopes to another market.
Australian data coverage is unknown. Regie does not say how well its seven-provider data waterfall covers Australian businesses or Australian mobile numbers. It does not say whether the dialler's local numbers include Australian area codes. Test both on the free plan before you pay.
Credit consumption is opaque. You know how many credits you get, not what each action costs. A team that dials heavily could run dry mid-month, and extra credits cannot be bought on their own.
The privacy policy does not address AI training. It lists AI and synthetic-voice providers among its subprocessors, but says nothing about whether your prospect data or emails are used to train models. Ask Regie in writing.
AI drafts still need a human edit. In June, the most common criticism in user reviews was that AI-written emails read as robotic. RegieGO's voice learning targets that problem, but treat every draft as a starting point until you have checked a few hundred.
Australian fit: Spam Act 2003 and what Regie cannot do for you
Regie's pitch is AI that writes and queues outreach for you. In Australia, every commercial email or text you send is covered by the Spam Act 2003. Compliance is your responsibility, not Regie's.
What the Spam Act requires for every commercial electronic message sent to Australian recipients:
- Consent. Every recipient must have given express consent, or consent can be inferred. For B2B cold email, inferred consent can apply when a business person has published their address in a way that suggests they accept business email, such as a company website. The message must relate to their role.
- Identification. Every message must clearly identify the sender and the organisation it is sent for.
- A working unsubscribe. Every message needs one that works for at least 30 days after sending. Requests must be honoured within 5 business days.
- No misleading subject lines.
Where RegieGO helps, and where it doesn't. Regie handles unsubscribes and verifies addresses before sending, which covers part of point 3. It cannot tell whether you have a consent basis for an Australian contact. Its data comes from providers built for a US market, under US rules. Do not assume a contact it finds was collected with the Spam Act in mind.
What this means in practice:
- Keep a record of the consent basis for every Australian contact. The sender carries the burden of proof.
- Check that each message identifies your business, and that the unsubscribe works, before you scale up.
- Read a sample of AI drafts before letting the agents send at volume.
- Only a court can impose the maximum penalty. In October 2024 the ACMA put it at A$626,000 a day for a company with no prior record. For a company with one, it was A$3.13 million a day.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check your consent basis with a qualified adviser.
Data residency. Regie processes personal information in the United States, and its privacy policy offers no Australian or regional option. Prospect data, emails and call records all sit offshore. Organisations with data-sovereignty obligations should rule it out unless Regie commits otherwise in writing.
No AUD billing and no Australian support. Prices are in US dollars and Regie publishes no Australian presence or support hours.
Alternatives
- Apollo.io: The closest like-for-like: contact database, AI email writing and sequences, with a free tier and self-serve plans. It scores higher with us (17/25) and is the better first stop for Australian prospecting.
- Instantly: For teams that mainly want AI-assisted cold email at volume on a flat monthly fee, with a strong deliverability focus. No built-in dialler.
- Outreach: For an established sales team that needs enterprise sales-engagement depth and CRM governance rather than an agentic workspace.
Bottom line
Regie.ai has fixed the problem that made it irrelevant to most Australian businesses in June. A free plan, a US$49 Pro tier and no contract mean anyone can now test whether its agents save real hours. The workspace is capable: list building, enrichment, drafting, sending from your own mailbox and a dialler, in one place.
It still scores in the middle for Australians, and the reason is Regie's own words. The service is "intended for US-based business use", processes your data in the US, and says nothing about Australian data coverage or Australian dialler numbers. The Spam Act duties that come with AI-written outreach are yours alone.
Who should use it: a founder or small sales team selling mainly into the US, who wants one tool for prospecting and can test the free credits first. Who should not: anyone whose buyers are mostly Australian, or whose data must stay onshore. Start with Apollo.io instead.
Score
| Criterion | Score | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Value for Money | 3/5 | Free plan and Pro at ~A$70 a month replace June's A$30,000-plus minimums; held back by USD billing and credits whose per-action cost is unpublished. |
| Ease of Use | 3/5 | Free sign-up with a work email, a built-in CRM and no contract; you still define your target customer, calibrate drafts and manage a credit pool. |
| Feature Depth | 4/5 | Agents for list building, enrichment, signals, drafting and follow-up, plus a parallel dialler and CRM sync — broad for the price. |
| Australian Fit | 1/5 | The vendor says the service is intended for US-based business use; data processed in the US; USD only; no AU data coverage or dialler numbers confirmed; Spam Act duties sit with you. |
| Reliability & Support | 3/5 | Established vendor since 2020 with SOC 2 on Enterprise; RegieGO is a new product with a short track record and no Australian support. |
| Total | 14/25 | ⭐⭐⭐ Good |
Australian Fit gate: Regie.ai scores 1/5 for Australian Fit, below the 4/5 our Methodology requires for an Excellent rating or a category Top Pick.
Update history
- 8 Oct 2026 — New edition: full re-review. Was: enterprise-only RegieOne packages (AI SEP US$180 a seat with a 10-seat minimum; Force Multiplier Rep US$499 a seat with a 5-seat minimum), annual contracts, no free trial; scored 13/25 (Value 2, Ease 2, Features 4, Australian Fit 2, Reliability 3). Now: the self-serve RegieGO workspace, with a free plan (250 credits a person), Pro at US$49 a month (US$41 billed annually), Team at US$150 a seat (US$125 annually, two-seat minimum) and Enterprise by quote; no contract on Pro or Team. Re-scored at 14/25: Value for Money 2 → 3 and Ease of Use 2 → 3 for the free, self-serve way in; Australian Fit 2 → 1 because Regie's privacy policy (updated 4 Aug 2026) says the service is intended for US-based business use and processes personal information in the US. Feature Depth (4) and Reliability (3) hold. The June figures for the contact database (220M+) and the nine-line dialler no longer appear on Regie's site and are removed. Source: regie.ai/pricing and regie.ai/privacy-policy (read 8 Oct 2026; plan prices first read from Australia 1 Oct 2026). The previous edition is kept unchanged and linked above.
- 1 Oct 2026 — Regie.ai has launched self-serve pricing (read on regie.ai/pricing from Australia). Was: enterprise-only, annual contracts, AI SEP at US$180 a seat (10-seat minimum) and Force Multiplier Rep at US$499 a seat (5-seat minimum); no free trial. Now: a free plan, Pro at US$49 a month (US$41 billed annually) and Team at US$150 a seat (US$125 annually, two-seat minimum), with Enterprise by quote. The pricing section, the price con, the Value for Money note and the pricing FAQ are updated; the rest of this review still describes the June enterprise product, and a full re-review is scheduled. Archived copy.
- 21 Sep 2026 — The grossed-up AUD column removed from the pricing table. The table carried a second Australian column adding 10% GST to every converted figure, so each plan had two Australian prices and the higher one asserted a tax most of our readers do not pay. Nothing was re-cut — the ex-GST column was unchanged and was the price. Removed, and kept visible here: the column headed "Approx. AUD if GST charged (+10%)" (AI SEP ~AUD $33,264; Force Multiplier Rep ~AUD $46,108). No USD price moved and no score changed.
Frequently asked questions
Is Regie.ai available in Australia?
You can sign up from Australia, but Regie's privacy policy says the service is intended for US-based business use and that it processes personal information in the United States. It bills in US dollars and publishes no Australian support. Regie does not say how well its contact data covers Australian businesses, so test it on the free plan first.
How much does Regie.ai cost in Australian dollars?
RegieGO has a free plan with 250 credits a person. Pro is US$49 a month, about A$70 (US$41, about A$59, billed annually). Team is US$150 a seat a month, about A$215 (US$125, about A$179, annually), with a two-seat minimum. Enterprise is by quote. Conversions use the RBA rate of 7 October 2026 and are ex-GST. Pro and Team have no contract.
Does Regie.ai comply with Australia's Spam Act 2003?
Compliance is your responsibility, not Regie's. Every commercial email to an Australian recipient needs consent (express or inferred), clear sender identification and a working unsubscribe. RegieGO handles unsubscribes and verifies addresses, but it cannot establish your consent basis. Keep consent records and check AI drafts before sending at volume.
