This page explains what this site stores in your browser, and what it doesn't. It sits alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly.
This site is published by The AI Directory Australia (ABN 80 471 576 336).
The short version
- We run no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
- We use no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, and no advertising or cross-site analytics.
- Our audience figures come from Ghost's own built-in analytics, which is privacy-respecting by design and does not follow you to other websites.
- Our own cookies are first-party and functional; Stripe's fraud-prevention script also runs on every page (see the Privacy Policy).
- There are no third-party video, social or comment embeds anywhere in our articles.
If you only read one line: nothing on this site tracks you across other websites or sells a profile of you.
What we use cookies and similar storage for
Keeping the site working. A small number of first-party cookies handle the basics — remembering that you're signed in to a newsletter account, and carrying a session between pages. Without these, signing in, signing up and paying may not work.
Understanding what gets read. Our platform, Ghost, reports aggregate audience figures — page views, referrers, rough location at country level. We use these figures in aggregate. Nothing on this site tracks you across other websites or sells a profile of you.
Local storage. Ghost's analytics keeps a random session identifier in your browser's local storage. If you sign up, our platform also notes in local storage which pages you viewed before signing up, so we can see which pages lead people to join.
That's the entire list for our own cookies and local storage. The third-party services that load on our pages are described below. We don't use cookies for advertising, retargeting, A/B testing or personalisation, because we don't do any of those things.
What we don't do
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No data brokers, no audience selling, no ad networks.
- No cross-site profiling: nothing on this site tracks you across other websites or sells a profile of you.
- No cookie wall. You are never blocked from an article for declining anything.
Third-party connections you should know about
Because we accept payments, every page loads Stripe's payment script (js.stripe.com). Stripe uses it to prevent fraud. It may set its own cookies and collect device and browser information even if you never pay. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Our sign-up window and site search come from a public content-delivery network (jsDelivr), but they aren't part of the page when it first loads. They load the first time you tap, click, press a key or move focus on a page (on a phone, touching the screen to scroll counts), or when you open a sign-up or search link. If you're signed in as a member, or arriving from a sign-in link or a Stripe checkout, they load straight away. Once they've loaded, errors in the sign-up window are reported to our platform's error-monitoring service (Sentry, in the United States). jsDelivr receives your IP address and browser details when it sends these files, and Sentry receives them with any error report.
The detailed cookie table
A proper cookie notice lists every cookie by name, purpose, duration and whether it is first- or third-party. We haven't published that table yet, and we're not going to publish one we haven't verified.
The cookies this site actually sets are determined by our platform, Ghost, and can change with a platform update. So the table will be produced by inspecting the live site, not copied from documentation. It will be published here with the date it was checked.
If the check finds anything beyond the functional cookies described above, it will be listed here and the Privacy Policy will be updated to match.
How to control cookies
You are in charge of your own browser.
- Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, for all sites or for this one. Look under Privacy or Site settings.
- Blocking our functional cookies or local storage will not stop you reading anything, but signing in, signing up and paying may not work.
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email, whatever your cookie settings.
Changes to this notice
We'll update this page when the verified cookie table is published, and whenever our platform or providers change what the site stores. The date at the top and the update history below will tell you when.

Update history
- 12 Oct 2026 — The publisher is now named as the business, The AI Directory Australia (ABN 80 471 576 336); the editor's name no longer sits in the operator line.
- 9 Oct 2026 — Corrected: Stripe's fraud-prevention script runs on every page, and the sign-up window and site search load from jsDelivr when you interact with a page or are signed in, with sign-up errors reported to Sentry. Added what we keep in local storage and who publishes the site. The short version now says no advertising or cross-site analytics, rather than no third-party analytics of any kind.
- 7 Oct 2026 — Fonts section corrected: the typefaces have been self-hosted since 20 September 2026, so there is no Google Fonts connection to name.
- 20 Sep 2026 — First version. States what the site does and does not do with cookies, and names the Google Fonts connection. The per-cookie table is held back until it can be verified against the live site.
