The verdict: Outreach is a serious piece of enterprise software. Its April 2026 AI overhaul — conversational agents, real-time deal coaching, automated workflow studio — puts it at the front of the sales engagement category globally. But it prices in USD only, stores all data in the US or Ireland (no Australian region), requires a minimum of 10–15 seats on an annual contract, and demands $5,000–$25,000 in implementation fees before a single email is sent. If you run a mid-market Australian sales team of 20+ reps with a proper RevOps function, Outreach deserves serious evaluation. If you run a small business or manage fewer than ten salespeople, it will drain your budget and overwhelm your team. Score: 13/25 — Good.

What it is

Outreach (outreach.ai) is an AI-powered sales engagement and revenue orchestration platform headquartered in Seattle, Washington, with offices in Prague and Atlanta. Founded in 2014, it serves over 5,500 companies worldwide, including Zoom, Siemens, Okta, and Databricks.

The platform covers the full sales workflow: outbound sequencing (emails, calls, LinkedIn), conversation intelligence, deal management, pipeline forecasting, and rep coaching — all unified under one system. In April 2026, Outreach relaunched with a heavy AI push, renaming its website to outreach.ai and introducing Outreach Omni, a conversational AI agent that lets reps query deal status, surface risks, and take actions across the platform using plain English.

This is not a simple cold-email tool. Outreach is a sales operating system. The distinction matters: the complexity that makes it powerful for a 50-person enterprise sales team makes it actively hostile for a small business owner trying to send 200 emails a week.

What it costs in Australia (AUD + GST)

Outreach does not publish pricing. All plans require a conversation with their sales team. Based on widely reported third-party data and user reports, the Amplify tier structure introduced in 2026 runs as follows:

Plan AI Credits (monthly) Approx. USD/user/mo Approx. AUD/user/mo
Amplify Core 25,000 ~US$100 ~A$140 (ex-GST)
Amplify Plus 50,000 ~US$130 ~A$182 (ex-GST)
Amplify Pro 100,000 ~US$160 ~A$224 (ex-GST)

Every figure above is a third-party estimate, not an Outreach quote. Outreach publishes no public price list — its pricing page only shows the AI-credit allocation for each tier and routes you to a sales conversation. The USD figures are the per-seat numbers consistently reported by pricing aggregators in 2026; the AUD numbers are our own straight currency conversion, not GST-inclusive. Actual quotes vary by team size, contract length, and negotiation.

  • AUD conversion at ×1.40 (approximate rate, September 2026).
  • GST treatment for Australian customers is not disclosed on Outreach's pricing page or billing documentation. As a B2B digital service delivered by a US company, GST under Australia's non-resident supplier rules may apply — confirm the treatment in writing with Outreach and your accountant before you sign.
  • Billing is in USD. We found no AUD billing option documented on Outreach's pricing or billing pages; assume USD invoicing and FX exposure unless your sales rep confirms otherwise.
  • Annual contracts only. No monthly billing option.
  • Minimum seat commitment: typically 10–15 seats.
  • Onboarding and implementation fees: US$5,000–US$25,000+ (~A$7,000–A$35,000), billed separately.
  • Additional platform or professional services fees may apply on top of per-seat costs.

A 15-seat Amplify Core deployment could cost approximately A$27,900/year in licence fees alone, before any implementation or support costs. At Amplify Plus, that climbs to roughly A$36,180/year.

There is no free tier and no free trial.

How it works / features

Outreach organises its platform around three pillars: prospecting, deal management, and forecasting. The April 2026 Omni release added a conversational AI layer across all three.

Sequences and outbound engagement. Reps build multi-step outreach sequences combining emails, phone calls, LinkedIn touchpoints, and tasks. The platform automates follow-ups, tracks open and reply rates, and surfaces which templates perform best. This is the core capability Outreach built its reputation on.

Kaia — conversation intelligence. Kaia joins sales calls automatically, transcribes in real time, surfaces relevant battlecards or objection handlers mid-conversation, and generates post-call summaries with action items pushed to your CRM. Since February 2026, Kaia summaries also deliver directly into Slack.

Outreach Omni (launched April 2026). A conversational AI agent accessible via the web interface, Slack, or the mobile app. Ask it things like "Which deals are at risk this quarter?" or "Draft a follow-up email for the Acme opportunity" and it pulls from your live pipeline data to respond and act. This is the most significant product evolution Outreach has made in years.

Agent Studio. A visual workflow builder that lets RevOps admins configure and deploy pre-built AI workflows — inbound lead engagement, closed-lost reactivation, deal alerts — without writing code. Launched April 2026.

Deal management and forecasting. Amplify Plus and Pro add deal health scoring, AI-generated deal summaries, win/loss analysis, pipeline scenario planning, and AI-projected revenue forecasts. The Amplify Pro tier adds multi-currency support for forecasting.

CRM integration. Outreach connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics. Integration setup is not self-serve for most teams — expect to pay for professional services or dedicate a RevOps resource.

What it does well

The AI is genuinely useful, not just a badge. Kaia's real-time conversation coaching, the Meeting Prep Agent, and the Omni conversational agent are substantive features that reduce prep time and help reps stay on top of large pipelines. The Topics Explorer, which analyses conversation patterns across the org to show how competitors or objections affect win rates, gives sales leaders insight that would otherwise require manual data analysis.

Sequences at scale. If you have a structured outbound motion — SDRs running hundreds of touches per month — Outreach's sequencing engine is as good as it gets. The automation, A/B testing, and performance analytics are mature and battle-tested.

Agent Studio reduces the RevOps burden. Pre-built workflow templates for common sales motions mean admins spend less time building from scratch. Inbound lead engagement, deal alert automation, and closed-lost reactivation are ready to configure from day one.

Enterprise-grade security and compliance. Outreach holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, HIPAA, and CSA STAR certifications. For larger Australian organisations with enterprise procurement requirements, this credentials list will satisfy most vendor security questionnaires.

Deep CRM integration. The platform is built around Salesforce primarily, with solid HubSpot and Dynamics support. For teams already running a proper CRM stack, the data flows are tight.

Where it falls short

The pricing is opaque and the cost is punishing. There is no published price list. Every Australian buyer must enter a sales process to get a number — which is a red flag for transparency and a time drain. When the numbers do emerge, they are enterprise prices. A 15-seat team pays roughly A$28,000–$36,000 per year in licences alone, then another A$8,000–$39,000 in implementation. That is a serious commitment for a business without a dedicated RevOps function to extract value from the tool.

The learning curve is steep. Outreach is genuinely complex. New users regularly report a difficult onboarding experience. Without a RevOps resource or dedicated sales operations person, most of the platform's capability will sit unused. The AI agent features are not plug-and-play: they need careful configuration, CRM data quality discipline, and ongoing admin attention.

No free trial. You cannot try Outreach before committing. You get a demo from a sales rep, then a contract. For a product at this price, that is a significant ask from any prospective buyer.

Performance can be sluggish. Users on G2 and Capterra consistently report that the platform can be slow, particularly when loading large sequence or account views. This is a recurring complaint, not an isolated one.

AI quality depends on your data. Outreach's AI agents are only as good as the data underneath them. If your CRM is messy or your team has inconsistent activity logging, the AI summaries, deal health scores, and forecasts will reflect that. The platform does not supply its own verified data layer — you wire in your own.

Minimum seat requirements lock out small teams. The standard minimum of 10–15 seats eliminates most Australian small businesses from consideration. A sole operator, a two-person sales team, or a five-person start-up simply cannot justify the entry ticket.

Australian fit

Outreach scores poorly on Australian-specific fit.

Data residency. Customer data is hosted on AWS in multiple US regions, with an EU option (Dublin) available for customers who require it during signup. There is no Australian or Asia-Pacific region. For Australian businesses with data sovereignty concerns — particularly those in regulated industries like finance, healthcare, or government — this is a hard blocker.

AUD billing. Not available. All contracts are priced and invoiced in USD. Australian buyers carry ongoing currency exposure as the AUD/USD rate moves.

GST treatment. Not disclosed on Outreach's website or billing documentation. As a non-resident digital service provider, Outreach may be required to collect GST from Australian customers under Australia's non-resident supplier rules, but we could find no public confirmation of how it handles this. Get the GST and tax-invoice position confirmed in writing before signing.

Australian support. Outreach has no Australian office and no listed Australian phone support. Support runs from the US and Europe. For Australian teams, this means support tickets are being processed overnight, and any live support falls in business hours that do not overlap with Sydney or Melbourne working hours.

AUD pricing or AU-aware outputs. Outreach's AI agents — Omni, Meeting Prep, Deal Agent — generate outputs in English but are not calibrated for Australian English, AU market context, or AUD. No Australian-market customisation is documented.

Multi-currency forecasting. Available on Amplify Pro. This means Australian teams can at least run their pipeline in AUD within the forecasting module — but only if they pay for the most expensive tier.

Score

Criterion Score Why
Value for Money 2/5 Enterprise pricing, no public rates, minimum seat floors, and $5K–$25K+ onboarding fees make this poor value for any team below 25+ seats. No free trial to validate ROI before signing.
Ease of Use 2/5 Steep learning curve consistently flagged by users. Platform complexity demands a RevOps or sales operations function to maintain. Not suitable for a self-serve small business buyer.
Feature Depth 5/5 Comprehensive across sequences, conversation intelligence (Kaia), conversational AI (Omni), deal management, coaching, and forecasting. The April 2026 AI overhaul is substantive.
Australian Fit 2/5 No AU data centre, no AUD billing, GST treatment undisclosed, no AU office, no AU-aware AI outputs. EU tenancy available but not AU. Multi-currency forecasting locked to Pro tier only.
Reliability & Support 2/5 Strong enterprise security certifications (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001). But AU-hours support is a real gap, performance complaints are consistent, and the no-trial policy reduces confidence before commitment.

Australian Fit gate: Outreach scores 2/5 on Australian Fit, which means it cannot achieve ★★★★★ Excellent or be named a category Top Pick regardless of raw score — it does not meet the ≥4/5 Australian Fit requirement. See our methodology.

Bottom line

If you run a mid-market Australian company with a structured sales team of 20+ reps, a CRM already in place, and a RevOps resource to manage the platform: Outreach is worth evaluating seriously. The feature depth is genuinely exceptional, and the April 2026 Omni and Agent Studio launches pushed its AI capability ahead of most competitors. Budget for implementation costs, accept USD billing, and accept US data hosting as the trade-off.

If you run a small Australian business with a small sales team (under 15 people) or no dedicated sales operations function: Outreach will burn your money and frustrate your team. Look at HubSpot Sales Hub, Apollo.io, or Instantly — tools that are priced for Australian SME budgets, offer free tiers or trials, and do not require a $15,000 implementation before you send a single email.

If data sovereignty is a concern for your business (finance, healthcare, government, or any entity subject to the Australian Privacy Act's data handling obligations): Outreach's US-only or Ireland-only data hosting is a straight disqualifier until they open an Australian region.

Update history
  • 1 Oct 2026 — Outreach's pricing page, checked from Australia, still publishes no price: each package (for example Amplify Plus, 50,000 AI credits) routes to "request pricing", and pricing is seat-based plus AI-credit usage. The per-seat figures above remain third-party estimates; no claims re-verified. Archived copy.
  • 24 Sep 2026 — first-party URL linked so the corpus checks can see it, and the vendor page re-read today. Sentry 12 reported this review under “no first-party URL (sentry blind here)” for three consecutive runs. The review was never unsourced — its Sources section cites the vendor's own pages, but as plain text rather than a link, and the sentry reads https:// URLs. A dated, linked citation is added below. Today's read: 200 — “Outreach Pricing and Packaging”. Note outreach.io now 301-redirects to outreach.ai; this review already cites the current domain. No claim, figure or score changes. reviewed: untouched per our dating rule.
  • 20 Jun 2026 — First reviewed.
  • 24 Sep 2026 — The AUD column was never grossed up for GST, and every word around it said it was. The header read “gross-up; GST unconfirmed” and the note beneath described a 10% uplift — while the figures themselves are plain conversions at 1.4045. Checked before changing a word: across the 63 files carrying this wording, 141 rows convert at 1.4045 and none at 1.4045 × 1.10. No figure changed here; only the description of them did. Two things were wrong beyond the arithmetic: gross-up names a tax uplift and was being used for a currency conversion, and GST unconfirmed is stale — our GST rule settled it on 5 September 2026, and a GST-registered Australian business supplying its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service. No USD price moved and no score changed. reviewed: untouched per our dating rule.

Frequently asked questions

Is Outreach available in Australia?

Yes, but it's built for the US and Europe. There's no Australian office and no listed Australian phone support — support runs from the US and Europe, so tickets are processed overnight and live help falls outside Sydney or Melbourne working hours.

Does Outreach charge in AUD?

No. All contracts are priced and invoiced in USD with no AUD billing option documented, so you carry ongoing currency exposure. GST treatment isn't disclosed — confirm it in writing with Outreach and your accountant before signing.

Is there a free plan or free trial?

No. There's no free tier and no free trial — you get a demo from a sales rep, then a contract. Pricing isn't published, with reported per-seat rates from ~US$100/user/month plus US$5,000–US$25,000+ in implementation fees.

Where is Outreach's data stored?

On AWS in the US, with an EU (Dublin) option available at signup. There's no Australian or Asia-Pacific region — a hard blocker for regulated Australian businesses in finance, healthcare or government with data sovereignty obligations.

Is Outreach worth it for an Australian small business?

No. Minimum seat commitments of 10–15 seats and steep implementation costs lock out small teams. For under 15 people or no RevOps function, look at HubSpot Sales Hub, Apollo.io or Instantly instead — priced for Australian SME budgets.
