Rezi Review: ATS-Focused AI Resume Builder for Australians (2026)

The gate: Five stars need 21+ and Australian Fit of at least 4/5.
Skip to the verdictVerdict (TL;DR): Rezi is the resume builder for people who want to win the ATS scan. Its real-time Rezi Score, keyword targeting, and AI writer are designed specifically around getting resumes past automated screening systems. The USD $149 lifetime plan is good value for anyone who expects to job-search more than once in their career. For Australians, it works — but the ATS optimisation is calibrated to US-style job descriptions, and there is no Australian localisation, no AUD pricing, and data is processed offshore. Use it to structure and keyword-tune your resume, then put the Australian polish on yourself.

What Rezi is
Rezi is an AI resume builder founded in 2019, operated by a US-based company. The platform has over four million users and focuses more tightly than almost any other tool on ATS (Applicant Tracking System) optimisation. The core feature is the Rezi Score — a real-time rating that analyses your resume against a pasted job description and tells you exactly what to change. Keyword gaps, formatting issues, content quality, and structural problems are all flagged in real time as you edit.
Beyond the score, Rezi offers an AI resume writer (generates a full resume from a job title), AI bullet point generator, AI cover letter builder, AI resignation letter builder, and interview practice. It recently added an AI Resume Agent — a more conversational approach to resume building that guides you through the process interactively.
The platform also maintains a human resume review service (from USD $8 per review) for users who want an expert's eye on their document before submitting.
Rezi's competitive advantage is specificity. Where Teal and Kickresume are broader career platforms, Rezi is single-minded about the resume document itself.
What it costs in Australia
Rezi prices in USD only. There is no AUD option and no GST collection confirmed (check with your accountant).
| Plan | USD Price | AUD (approx, ×1.40) |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 |
| Pro (monthly) | USD $29/month | ~A$41/month |
| Lifetime | USD $149 (one-time) | ~A$209 (one-time) |
| Human Review | From USD $8/review | From ~A$11/review |
| Organisations (schools, career services) | USD $99/month per 200 users | ~A$139/month per 200 users |
Exchange rate: 1 USD ≈ 1.4045 AUD (ECB reference rate, 18 September 2026). Our AUD figures are conversions shown ex-GST: a GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service; an unregistered buyer should allow ~10% on top.
The lifetime plan is the real story. At USD $149 (~A$209), you get unlimited resumes, full AI tools, unlimited downloads, and all templates — permanently. If you use Rezi across two job searches over five years, it costs less than A$45 per year. The 30-day money-back guarantee reduces the risk of trying it.
The free plan allows one resume, limited AI tools, and three PDF downloads — enough to evaluate whether the platform suits you before committing.

How it works in practice
Sign up, create a resume, and the Rezi Score panel appears on the right. Paste in a job description and the score recalibrates in real time. The keyword gap list tells you which terms from the job description are missing from your resume. As you add them, the score moves. This is the core Rezi loop and it is well-executed.
The AI bullet point generator takes your job title and a brief description of your responsibilities, then suggests metric-focused achievement bullets. Output quality is above the Kickresume average but still generic — "increased team productivity by 20%" is the kind of claim the AI loves and that hiring managers are rightly sceptical of unless you can substantiate it. Every AI bullet needs to be verified against your actual experience before it goes on the page.
The interview practice feature runs AI-generated mock interviews with role-specific questions. Quality is useful for behavioural question preparation but not a replacement for practising with a real person.
The AI Resume Agent (newer feature) takes a conversational approach — you answer questions and it builds the resume around your responses. This is better than staring at a blank form for users who find structured inputs daunting.
Template variety is limited compared to Kickresume. Rezi has five formats (Standard, Compact, Alternative, Bold, Modern), all clean and ATS-safe. If visual design is important to you, Kickresume has more options.
What it does well
Real-time ATS scoring. The Rezi Score is the best implementation of resume-to-job-description matching I have tested. The feedback is specific, actionable, and updates as you type. Watching your score rise from 62 to 81 while adding targeted keywords is genuinely motivating.
Lifetime plan value. At USD $149 (~A$209) once, with a 30-day guarantee, the lifetime plan is exceptional value compared to monthly subscription tools. If you expect to job-search more than once or want to help a family member, it pays for itself quickly.
ATS-safe templates. All five Rezi templates are designed to pass through ATS parsers without formatting corruption. Columns, tables, and graphics that break ATS parsing are absent. This matters more than many people realise — a visually impressive resume that the ATS cannot parse is effectively invisible.
Human review add-on. For users who want professional eyes on their document, from USD $8 a review is reasonable. Useful before applying for roles where the stakes are high.
SOC 2 compliance documentation. Rezi publishes a compliance and trust centre, suggesting more formal data security practices than many smaller resume tools.
What it doesn't do well
ATS optimisation calibrated to US job descriptions. Australian job ads on Seek and LinkedIn are often less keyword-dense than their US counterparts. The Rezi Score system may push you to over-stuff keywords relative to what an Australian hiring manager would expect to see. Use the score as a guide, not a rule.
Limited template variety. Five templates is functional but uninspiring. If you need a visually distinctive document for creative roles, Rezi is not the right choice.
AI output requires editing — and verification. The AI writer generates metric claims ("reduced costs by 18%") that may have no basis in your actual work history. Using these verbatim is not just ineffective — it is potentially misleading to employers. Every AI-generated bullet must be checked against your experience.
No Australian localisation. No AUD pricing, no Seek integration, no awareness of Australian award structures, and no guidance on AU resume conventions. You are using a US tool in an Australian context.
Data processed offshore. Rezi is a US company. Your resume content is processed on US-based infrastructure. No Australian data residency option is available.
Free plan is restrictive. One resume and three PDF downloads is barely enough to evaluate the tool properly. You need to upgrade to test the full feature set.
Australian fit
Rezi works for Australians but was not designed with the Australian market in mind. The ATS scoring is useful — Australian employers increasingly use ATS tools, particularly at larger organisations — but the scoring calibration assumes US-style job descriptions. The human review feature does not appear to offer AU-specific reviewers.
The SOC 2 compliance documentation is a positive signal for enterprise users, but data processing remains US-based with no explicit AU option.
One practical plus: the lifetime plan makes Rezi less of a recurring commitment than most tools. Australians who job-search every three to five years get good value without managing a subscription.
Australian Fit score: 2/5. Functional but with no localisation, USD-only pricing, and offshore data processing.
Alternatives
- Teal — Better job tracker, stronger free tier, similarly limited AU fit. Choose Teal if you are managing many applications simultaneously.
- Kickresume — Better templates, EU data residency, comparable ATS features. Choose Kickresume if design matters or EU-level privacy is a priority.
- ChatGPT (reviewed here) — For users comfortable with prompting, ChatGPT can iterate on a resume indefinitely and costs ~A$30/month. No templates or ATS scoring, but unlimited revision with the right prompts.
Bottom line
Rezi earns its reputation as the most ATS-focused resume builder on the market. The real-time Rezi Score is genuinely useful, and the lifetime plan is excellent value for anyone who expects to use it more than once. For Australians, it is a capable tool with the same caveats as every other US-built resume product: no localisation, no AUD pricing, offshore data.
The most important thing to understand about Rezi — or any AI resume builder — is that the AI does not know whether its claims about your career are true. You do. Every metric, every achievement, every responsibility needs to come from you. The AI provides the scaffolding. The accuracy is your responsibility.
Score

| Australian Fit | 2/5 | No AU localisation, USD only, US-based data processing; ATS calibrated to US market |
| Reliability & Support | 2/5 | SOC 2 documentation is positive; limited AU-specific support; Trustpilot 4.5/5 (129 reviews — small sample) |

rezi.ai/pricingon an Australian connection: Free, Pro $29 a month, Lifetime $149 one-off, Human Review from $8, and a 30-day money-back guarantee — every figure holds. The page also lists an organisation plan at $99 a month per 200 users, now added to the table. Bare$, noA$.aud_native: falsealready set. Score unchanged. Capture:Dossiers/captures/rezi-pricing-2026-09-30.txt; Wayback 30 Sep 2026. - 21 Sep 2026 — The grossed-up AUD column removed from the pricing table. The table carried a second Australian column adding 10% GST to every converted figure, so each plan had two Australian prices and the higher one asserted a tax most of our readers do not pay: under the ATO rule our GST treatment rests on, a GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service. Nothing was re-cut — the ex-GST column is unchanged and is the price. Removed, and kept visible here per our price-history rule: the column headed "AUD if GST charged (+10%)" (Pro (monthly) ~A$45/month; Lifetime ~A$229 (one-time, if GST applies); Human Review From ~A$12/review). The GST position is now stated in words once, beneath the table, in place of the old “Australian consumers may be liable for 10% GST” note — which was true of consumers and wrong for the GST-registered businesses this publication is written for. No USD price moved and no score changed.

Frequently asked questions
Is Rezi's lifetime plan worth it for Australian job seekers?
At USD $149 (approximately A$209 at June 2026 exchange rates), Rezi's lifetime plan offers unlimited resumes, AI tools, and downloads permanently. With a 30-day money-back guarantee, it is a low-risk purchase. If you expect to use it across more than one job search, it is better value than any monthly subscription tool.
Does Rezi's ATS scoring work for Australian job applications?
Rezi's ATS scoring is useful but calibrated to US-style job descriptions, which tend to be more keyword-dense than Australian postings. The tool will push you towards keyword optimisation that may exceed what Australian hiring managers expect. Use the score as a directional guide rather than a target to hit at all costs.
Can I trust Rezi's AI-generated resume content?
No. Rezi's AI generates plausible-sounding achievement statements, including specific metrics like percentage improvements or dollar figures, that may have no basis in your actual experience. Every AI-generated bullet point, summary, and claim must be reviewed and verified against your real work history before submission. Fabricating achievements on a resume is a serious professional risk.
