The gate: Five stars need 21+ and Australian Fit of at least 4/5.
Skip to the verdictPricing figures updated 6 September 2026: USD prices are converted at the current rate (1 USD ≈ 1.40 AUD, verified 5 September 2026) and shown ex-GST, replacing the retired 1.55 + GST basis. A GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service; other buyers should allow ~10% on top (Methodology).
The verdict: Fyxer does three things — sorts your inbox, drafts replies that sound like you, and takes meeting notes — and it does the first two genuinely well. It learns your writing from your past emails, so the drafts waiting in your folder each morning read like you wrote them, not like a robot. The trade is the obvious one: to write in your voice, it has to read your email. All of it. Fyxer's security posture is grown-up — SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, and a clear "we never train models on your data" promise — and your mail is stored in the EU, not the US. But there is no Australian data region, the pricing is in US dollars, and the drafts go generic the moment a thread needs real business context. For a busy Australian professional drowning in email, it can hand back an hour a day. Just go in clear-eyed about what it sees. Score: 15/25 — Good.
Earlier editions of this review: 25 Jun 2026 — 17/25. This is edition 2, dated 20 Sep 2026. We keep every edition so you can see how the tool and our verdict have moved — how and why.
What it is
Fyxer is an AI email assistant that lives inside your existing Gmail or Outlook — no new app to learn, no inbox to migrate. It does three jobs. It organises your inbox, sorting every incoming email into fixed categories such as To Respond, FYI, Meeting Update, Awaiting Reply and Marketing, so the messages that actually need you sit at the top and the noise is filed away. It drafts replies in your voice, reading how you have written in the past and leaving a ready-to-edit draft in your folder for the emails that need an answer. And it takes meeting notes, joining your Google Meet, Teams or Zoom calls, writing up the notes, and leaving a follow-up email drafted for you to send.
The pitch is simple: open your inbox in the morning and the triage is already done, the replies are already started, and your last meeting is already written up. Fyxer is made by Fyxer AI Limited, a UK company (Companies House number 15189973), and says more than 100,000 people use it, with logos from the likes of Knight Frank and eXp on its site. It is both Google-verified and Microsoft-verified, meaning it has passed each platform's security review for accessing your mailbox.
The thing to hold in your head from the start: this is not a tool you point at one email. It is a tool you give standing access to your entire inbox and calendar. That is the source of both its usefulness and the questions you need to ask.
What it costs in Australia
Fyxer bills per user, per month, in US dollars, with a 14-day free trial on the paid plans and, since June, a limited Free plan. Annual billing is 35% cheaper than paying monthly.
| Plan | US$/mo (billed annually) | Approx A$/mo ex-GST | US$/mo (monthly) | Approx A$/mo ex-GST |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | US$0 | A$0 | US$0 | A$0 |
| Pro | US$32 | ~A$45 | US$49 | ~A$69 |
| Team | US$64 | ~A$90 | US$99 | ~A$139 |
| Enterprise (50+ seats) | Custom | — | Custom | — |
Free gives you 400 credits a month (about 20 chat messages), a weekly briefing and audio meeting notes, but no drafted replies or inbox sorting. Pro — the plan most individuals will want — adds replies drafted in your tone, automatic labelling, every meeting recorded and three shared spaces per seat, with 3,000 credits a month after a three-month unlimited launch offer. Team adds unlimited shared spaces, shared follow-ups with owners, an organisation profile, several inboxes at once and team reporting, with 6,000 pooled credits per member. Enterprise is an annual contract with private cloud or dedicated tenancy, full API and SLAs. (Plans re-read in a browser 30 September 2026; the June Starter and Professional plans are gone.)
A few Australian-specific notes. Pricing is USD only — Fyxer publishes no AUD price and no GST line. The A$ figures above are our own conversions at roughly 1.40 to the US dollar ex-GST, not quoted prices, and the weak Australian dollar adds meaningfully to the sticker. Because Fyxer is a UK-based digital service selling to Australian consumers, GST should apply at checkout, but confirm it there rather than assume. A "seat" is one person no matter how many inboxes they connect, so linking both your Gmail and Outlook still counts as a single seat. One warning worth taking seriously: independent reviews report users being charged after they believed they had cancelled, so set a calendar reminder before the 7-day trial ends and check your statement.
How it works / features
You connect Gmail or Outlook, and Fyxer goes to work in the background. The core features:
- Inbox organisation. Incoming mail is auto-sorted into fixed categories — To Respond, FYI, Comment, Notification, Meeting Update, Awaiting Reply, Actioned and Marketing. You choose which stay in your inbox and which move to folders, and you can recategorise anything; Fyxer learns from your corrections over time.
- Drafts in your voice. Fyxer reads your sent history to learn your tone and phrasing, then drafts replies to the emails that need one and leaves them in your drafts folder. It never sends on your behalf — every draft waits for your review and your click.
- Meeting notetaker. Fyxer joins your video calls (the host has to admit it, and can remove it like any attendee), writes the notes, and leaves a follow-up email drafted in your folder. Attendees get a link to the recording and notes.
- Fyxer Chat (paid plans; limited on Free). Ask plain-language questions across your inbox and meeting notes — "what did we agree with the client on Tuesday?" — and get an answer pulled from your own data.
- Scheduling assistant. Helps book meetings across teams and time zones.
- HubSpot integration and file upload. Connect your CRM, and upload documents so drafts are informed by your business context.
It is a true zero-migration tool: nothing about your day-to-day changes except that your inbox is tidier and your drafts are pre-written. And if you decide it is not for you, deleting your account reverts your inbox to how it was before.
What it does well
The in-your-voice drafting is the real draw. When it works, you open your folder to find replies that genuinely sound like you — same tone, same sign-off, same level of formality. For routine, high-volume correspondence, that is a real time saving, and it is the single best reason to use Fyxer over a generic AI writing tool that has never seen how you write.
Zero friction to start. There is no new inbox to learn and nothing to migrate. It bolts onto the Gmail or Outlook you already use, which is a far lower commitment than switching to a whole new email client. If you hate it, you uninstall and your inbox is unchanged.
A genuinely serious security and privacy posture. Fyxer holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, is GDPR-compliant with HIPAA available for enterprise, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and — importantly — states plainly that it does not use your emails, meetings or documents to train public or shared AI models, and never sells or shares your data. Access inside Fyxer is need-to-know, and team members in the same organisation cannot see each other's mail. For a tool that reads your whole inbox, that is the baseline you should demand, and Fyxer meets it.
EU data storage, not US. Fyxer hosts on Google Cloud in EU data centres and says it stores customer data within the EU/EEA. That is a stronger jurisdiction for an Australian buyer than the US-default hosting most rivals offer — though, as below, it is not the same as Australian residency.
Where it falls short
The drafts go generic the moment context matters. This is the most consistent complaint in independent reviews, and it is the important one. Fyxer nails tone but struggles with substance: on any thread that needs real business knowledge, a specific number, or awareness of a prior conversation, the drafts thin out into polite filler that needs a full rewrite. It is excellent at "thanks, that works for me" and weak at anything you actually had to think about.
Rigid categories, and miscategorisation. The sorting buckets are fixed — you cannot create your own categories — and reviewers report important emails occasionally getting filed into the wrong folder and missed. If you rely on the triage and stop scanning your inbox yourself, a misfiled email can genuinely slip past you. Keep half an eye on the folders for the first few weeks.
The notetaker is the weakest leg. Meeting notes are clearly the secondary feature. They are fine, not exceptional, and if note-taking is your main need, a dedicated tool will do it better. Treat the notetaker as a bonus, not the reason to buy.
No Australian data residency, and US AI subprocessors. Your mail is stored in the EU, which is good — but there is no Australian region, and the large language models that read your email to draft replies are run by overseas AI providers. So while your data rests in the EU, it is processed by US-based model providers, and nothing about the arrangement is Australian. For most general business email that is acceptable; for legal, financial or health correspondence subject to the Australian Privacy Act, you need to be comfortable with EU storage plus offshore processing before you switch it on.
It reads everything, and the cost is USD. The privacy posture is good, but the fundamental fact remains: Fyxer has standing read access to your entire inbox and calendar. That is the price of the feature. Combined with USD-only billing, no AUD price, no Australian support presence, and reports of post-cancellation charges, the Australian buyer needs to go in deliberately.
Australian fit
Pricing: US dollars, no AUD shown and no GST line of Fyxer's own; GST should apply at checkout for a UK service selling to Australian consumers, but confirm it there. Data residency: EU/EEA storage (better than US-default rivals), but no Australian region, and email is processed by overseas AI models — EU storage is not Australian residency. Support: UK company, no Australian entity or local-time support presence. Availability: fully available to Australians, works natively in the Gmail and Outlook they already use, and the in-your-voice drafting is the same quality here as anywhere. But there is nothing Australia-specific in the product, the price is in USD, and the data never touches Australian soil. On our five sub-points — AUD pricing, Australian residency, clear GST, AU-hours support, AU-aware output — Fyxer passes one at best. EU storage beats US-default hosting, but that is a comparison, not a point on the rubric. Australian Fit: 2/5.
Score
| Criterion | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Value for Money | 3/5 | A free plan and a 35% annual discount, but the entry paid seat rose to US$32 a month (from US$22.50), there is no AUD price, and users report being billed after they cancelled. |
| Ease of Use | 4/5 | Zero-migration install on the Gmail or Outlook you already use, and uninstalling reverts your inbox. Short of 5/5 on the card-captured trial. |
| Feature Depth | 3/5 | Broad on paper — drafting, sorting, Chat, scheduling, HubSpot. But the drafts thin into polite filler, categories are rigid, the notetaker is weak. |
| Australian Fit | 2/5 | No AUD price, no Australian region, GST unconfirmed at checkout, no Australian entity or local-hours support. EU storage is context, not a rubric point. |
| Reliability & Support | 3/5 | SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 are real, but there is no documented uptime, status page or SLA. Two live trust problems: mail misfiled and missed, and billing after cancellation. |
| Total | 15/25 |
⭐⭐⭐ Good (11–15).
Australian Fit is 2/5, half the 4/5 threshold in our methodology. So Fyxer cannot be named a category Top Pick, whatever its raw total.
Bottom line
If you are a busy professional buried in routine email, Fyxer is one of the easier wins going. The in-your-voice drafting and automatic triage can hand back the better part of an hour a day, it bolts onto the inbox you already use, and the security and privacy posture is genuinely strong for a tool that reads your mail. For most general business correspondence, it earns its keep.
If your email carries real substance, temper your expectations. Fyxer is brilliant at tone and weak at content — the drafts on threads that actually matter will often need a full rewrite. Use it to clear the routine pile, not to handle the emails you would have lost sleep over.
If your inbox holds legal, financial or health information subject to the Privacy Act, the data story is the deciding issue. EU storage is better than the US-default norm, but it is not Australian residency, and your email is read by overseas AI models to produce the drafts. Decide whether you are comfortable with that before you grant standing access — not after.
If you are choosing between Fyxer and a premium email client like Superhuman, they solve different problems. Superhuman makes you faster at email you still write; Fyxer writes the first draft for you. Pick Fyxer if your goal is to stop writing routine replies from scratch, and you are willing to let it read everything to do it.
Update history
- 30 Sep 2026 — re-verified by browser; the plans have been rebuilt, and a free plan now exists.
fyxer.com/pricingon an Australian connection: Starter (US$22.50 / US$30) and Professional (US$37.50 / US$50) are gone. The paid plans are now Pro at US$32 a person a month billed annually or US$49 monthly, and Team at US$64 / US$99; the trial is 14 days, not 7; annual billing is 35% off, not 25%. A Free plan now exists (400 credits a month, weekly briefing, no automatic drafted replies or inbox sorting). The page's structured data still lists the old prices; the rendered cards are taken as current. Bare$, noA$. Table, plan descriptions, feature tags, Value for Money note and the currency FAQ (body and schema) updated; the Superhuman comparison synced (its "costs less" line no longer holds at the entry seat). Score unchanged: the entry paid seat got dearer and a free plan arrived, which roughly cancel in the Value for Money cell.aud_native: falsealready set. Consolidated todocs.fyxer.com/teams-and-admins/security-and-data, which covers all three claims verbatim (EU/EEA storage on Google Cloud, no AI training on customer data, SOC 2 Type II/ISO 27001/GDPR/HIPAA-eligible/CASA Tier 2). - 20 Sep 2026 — Score 17 → 15/25, ratified under our scoring process (Adam may overturn). The five criterion rows summed to 20 while the total, frontmatter and schema all said 17. Rather than reconcile to the old total, every row was re-scored against the framework. Value for Money 4 → 3/5: per-seat pricing is competitive and the 25% annual discount is real. But there is no free tier, no AUD price, and this review's own report of charges after cancellation is the framework's surprise-charges fail. Ease of Use 5 → 4/5: the zero-migration install is best in class. There is still no free tier, only a card-captured 7-day trial, and a 5/5 needs explicit justification in the body. Feature Depth 4 → 3/5: broad on paper, but the drafts thin out into filler, the categories are rigid and the notetaker is weak. Australian Fit 3 → 2/5: no AUD price, no Australian region, GST unconfirmed, no Australian entity or local-hours support. That is one sub-point of five at best — the same 2/5 its USD-only peers SaneBox, Shortwave and Superhuman carry on fewer failures. Reliability & Support 4 → 3/5: SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 stand, but there is no documented uptime, status page or evidenced SLA. Two trust problems in our own text count against it: misfiled mail and post-cancellation billing. Band moves ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good → ⭐⭐⭐ Good. This is a pre-publication correction, not a change to a published score — the site is not live.
Frequently asked questions
Does Fyxer send emails for me?
No. Fyxer only ever drafts replies and leaves them in your folder — it never sends on your behalf. Every draft waits for you to review, edit and click send yourself.
Is Fyxer's pricing in Australian dollars?
No. Fyxer bills per user per month in US dollars (Pro is US$32 a month billed annually), with a 14-day free trial on paid plans and a limited Free plan. As a UK service selling to Australian consumers, GST should apply at checkout, but Fyxer publishes no AUD price or GST line of its own — confirm it at checkout and budget for the exchange rate.
Does Fyxer read all of my email?
Yes. To sort your inbox and draft replies in your voice, Fyxer needs standing read access to your inbox and calendar. It is certified to SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, encrypts your data, and says it never uses your emails to train shared or public AI models — but the read access is the price of the feature, so go in aware of it.
Is my data stored in Australia with Fyxer?
No. Fyxer stores customer data in the EU/EEA on Google Cloud — better than the US-default hosting many rivals use, but there is no Australian region, and your email is processed by overseas AI models to generate drafts. EU storage is not the same as Australian data residency.
Does Fyxer work with both Gmail and Outlook?
Yes. Fyxer works natively inside Gmail and Outlook (including Microsoft Teams), and is both Google-verified and Microsoft-verified. Connecting both your Gmail and Outlook still counts as a single seat.
Are Fyxer's auto-drafts any good?
For routine replies, yes — they match your tone and save real time. For threads that need specific business context, a number or awareness of a prior conversation, the drafts tend to go generic and often need a full rewrite. Use Fyxer to clear the routine pile, not to handle the emails that really matter.
