HubSpot Breeze AI Review Australia 2026: The CRM AI that hosts your data in Sydney
- From
- A$28/mo per user · ex-GST · billed in USD ($20)
- Your data
- Yes — HubSpot opened a Sydney data centre in February 2024; customers can host data onshore and migrate to it free of charge.
The gate: Five stars need 21+ and Australian Fit of at least 4/5.
Skip to the verdictVerdict (TL;DR): Breeze is HubSpot's AI layer, not a separate product. If you already run HubSpot, it's the AI you should reach for first, because it sits inside your CRM and acts on your own data instead of a generic chatbot in another tab. The free Breeze Assistant plus 100+ embedded AI features (draft an email, summarise a deal, write a blog post) are included at no extra cost and are genuinely useful. The autonomous agents — Customer Agent, Prospecting Agent, Data Agent — are the real story and the real cost: they need a Professional or Enterprise plan and bill per result through HubSpot Credits (Customer Agent US$0.50 per resolved conversation, Prospecting Agent US$1.00 per qualified lead, Data Agent US$0.10 per answer). For Australians, the standout is that HubSpot opened a Sydney data centre in February 2024 and lets you host your CRM data onshore for free — a rarity among US AI vendors. The honest catches: list prices are in USD, not native AUD; there's no IRAP assessment; and Breeze is only as good as the HubSpot data underneath it. For a business already on HubSpot, it's an easy recommendation. For everyone else, you're buying the CRM first and the AI second.

What HubSpot Breeze is
Breeze is the brand name for every AI feature inside HubSpot's CRM. HubSpot launched it at its INBOUND 2024 conference and has been expanding it since. It isn't a standalone app you buy — it's woven through the Marketing, Sales, Service, Content and Operations "Hubs" you may already pay for. There are four pieces worth knowing.
Breeze Copilot (Assistant) is the conversational helper that lives in the corner of your HubSpot screen. Ask it to draft a follow-up email, summarise a long deal record, or pull up a contact, and it answers using your CRM data — not the open web. This is the part included free on every plan.
Breeze Agents are the autonomous "AI teammates." Four matter today. The Customer Agent handles inbound support across chat and email and, HubSpot claims, resolves up to 70% of common conversations without a human. The Prospecting Agent watches accounts for buying signals and drafts personalised outreach. The Data Agent answers questions about your customers by reading your CRM, conversations and the web. There are also Custom Agents in beta — agents you build and train on your own company data.
Breeze Intelligence is the data-enrichment layer. It fills gaps in your contact and company records (HubSpot cites 40-plus attributes across 200 million-plus companies) and adds buyer-intent signals so your team can prioritise the right leads.
100+ embedded AI features round it out — conversation intelligence, an AI blog writer, content remix, data-quality cleanup, and AI-assisted reporting, all stitched into the everyday HubSpot workflow.
On the question that matters most for AI in a CRM: HubSpot states it does not train its models on your customer data, and that its third-party AI providers are contractually barred from doing so. It is unusually transparent about which models power Breeze: HubSpot's AI Trust page publishes model cards that name the providers and the specific models behind each feature — OpenAI (GPT-4.1 and GPT-5 mini family) and Anthropic (Claude Opus 4.5, Claude Sonnet 4), alongside HubSpot's own proprietary models.
What it costs in Australia
This is where Breeze gets complicated, because it has two cost layers stacked on top of each other: the HubSpot plan, and then the AI usage.
Layer one — the plan. Breeze Assistant and the embedded features are free even on HubSpot's free CRM. But the agents and the richer AI require a paid Hub. As a reference point, Sales Hub runs (USD, per seat, per month) about Starter US$20, Professional US$100 (US$90 billed annually), and Enterprise US$150. Marketing Hub and the others are priced separately and scale with contact volume.
Layer two — AI usage via HubSpot Credits. The headline agents bill per result, paid in HubSpot Credits. Credits cost US$10 per 1,000 (about US$0.010 each; overages invoice in 10-credit increments). Each plan includes a monthly allowance — 500 credits on Starter, 3,000 on Professional, 5,000 on Enterprise — and you buy packs or pay-as-you-go beyond that.
| Item | Price (USD) | Approx AUD @ 1.40 | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free CRM | $0 | $0 | Breeze Assistant + 100+ embedded AI features, included |
| Sales Hub Starter | $20/seat/mo | ≈ $28 | Entry paid plan; 500 included credits/mo |
| Sales Hub Professional | $100/seat/mo ($90 annual) | ≈ $140 ($126) | Customer Agent eligibility; 3,000 included credits/mo |
| Sales Hub Enterprise | $150/seat/mo | ≈ $211 | All agents; 5,000 included credits/mo |
| HubSpot Credits | $10 / 1,000 | ≈ $14 / 1,000 | The currency the agents spend |
| Customer Agent | $0.50 / resolved conversation | ≈ $0.70 | 50 credits per resolution (Pro+) |
| Prospecting Agent | $1.00 / qualified lead | ≈ A$1.40 | 100 credits per lead (Starter+) |
| Data Agent | $0.10 / answer | ≈ $0.14 | 10 credits per answer (Starter+) |
Pricing as of 3 June 2026, from HubSpot's own pricing, AI and company-news pages (USD). AUD figures are our own approximations at AUD ≈ 1.40, not HubSpot quotes. HubSpot moved Customer Agent and Prospecting Agent to this outcome-based model on 14 April 2026 — you pay when the agent completes the task, not for access. Both agents include a free 28-day trial. Australian customers contract with HubSpot Australia Pty Ltd and are shown calculated GST before purchase.
Value verdict: The free tier is the best value here — for a small Australian business, the included Assistant plus the embedded writing and summarising tools are a real productivity win at no cost. The outcome-based agent pricing is fair in principle (you only pay when the AI actually resolves a ticket or surfaces a lead), and US$0.50 a ticket undercuts a lot of standalone support-bot pricing. But the full picture stacks up fast: a Professional plan per seat, plus credits, plus enrichment. Budget the plan first and treat the agents as a measured add-on, not a flat subscription.
How it works in practice
If you live in HubSpot, Breeze just works because it's already there. Open a deal record and the Assistant can summarise months of email threads into three lines. Sit in the email editor and it drafts a follow-up in your contact's context. Ask the Data Agent "which of my open deals haven't been touched in two weeks?" and it reads the CRM and answers. The point of difference from pasting the same question into ChatGPT is that Breeze already has your data — you skip the copy-paste-and-anonymise dance.
The agents are where the work shifts from "assist" to "do." The Customer Agent can sit on your website chat and your support inbox and close out password resets, order-status questions and FAQ-style tickets on its own, escalating the hard ones. The Prospecting Agent runs in the background, flags accounts showing intent, and hands your reps a drafted first-touch email. Set up well, that's genuine leverage for a lean Australian sales or support team.
The honest limitation: Breeze is only as smart as your HubSpot data. If your CRM is half-empty or messy, the Assistant has little to summarise and the agents have little to act on. The tool rewards businesses that have already done the unglamorous work of keeping their CRM tidy — which is also exactly who Breeze Intelligence is sold to help.
What it does well
- It acts on your own data, in context. Because Breeze lives inside the CRM, it answers from your deals, contacts and conversations rather than a blank chatbot — no copy-pasting customer data into a separate AI tool.
- The free tier is real, not a teaser. Breeze Assistant and 100+ embedded features come with even the free CRM, so a small business gets useful AI drafting and summarising at no extra cost.
- Outcome-based agent pricing. You pay US$0.50 when the Customer Agent actually resolves a ticket, not a flat monthly fee for access — a fairer model for variable workloads.
- Onshore Australian hosting. HubSpot's Sydney data centre lets you keep your CRM data in Australia, and existing paid customers can migrate to it for free from account settings.
- A serious vendor behind it. HubSpot is a large, audited, NYSE-listed company with a SOC 2 Type II report and an established Australian entity and support footprint.
What to watch out for
- List prices are in USD, not native AUD. HubSpot's published pricing is in US dollars; you contract with HubSpot Australia Pty Ltd and GST is disclosed before purchase, but you don't get a clean native-AUD list price the way you would with a local SaaS vendor.
- The agents need a paid Hub plus credits. The powerful parts (Customer, Prospecting, Data agents) require Professional or Enterprise and then bill per result — the cost can climb with volume.
- No IRAP assessment. HubSpot holds SOC 2 Type II and hosts on AWS, but it publishes no IRAP assessment of its own platform — it does not appear on the IRAP-assessed vendor lists and lists no IRAP report on its Trust Center as at 3 June 2026. That matters if you're selling to Australian government.
- Garbage in, garbage out. Breeze is only as useful as the data in your CRM. A thin or messy HubSpot gives the agents little to work with.
- You're buying HubSpot first. Breeze isn't a reason to switch CRMs on its own. If you're not already on HubSpot, weigh the whole platform, not just the AI.
Australian fit
- Available in Australia: Yes — HubSpot operates a local entity (HubSpot Australia Pty Ltd) and an APAC presence.
- Pricing in AUD: No native AUD list price. Published pricing is USD; AU customers contract locally and are shown calculated GST before purchase.
- GST: Disclosed before purchase per HubSpot's Australia/New Zealand jurisdiction-specific terms; agreements governed by New South Wales law.
- Data residency: Yes — HubSpot opened a Sydney data centre in February 2024; customers can host data onshore and migrate to it free of charge.
- Local support: HubSpot has an APAC presence and AU business hours; there's no dedicated AU-only AI support line advertised.
- Training on your data: No. HubSpot states it does not train models on customer data and bars its third-party AI providers from doing so.
- Certifications: SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3; AWS infrastructure carries ISO 27001. HubSpot publishes no IRAP assessment of its own platform.
Alternatives
| Tool | Why you might prefer it |
|---|---|
| Salesforce Einstein / Agentforce | If you're a larger enterprise already on Salesforce and want its agent ecosystem and AppExchange depth. |
| Pipedrive AI | A simpler, cheaper CRM with built-in AI for small sales teams that find HubSpot heavy. |
| Zoho CRM (Zia) | Strong value for cost-conscious SMBs, with AI assistance and competitive pricing. |
| A standalone support bot (e.g. Intercom Fin) | If you only want AI customer support and don't need the whole CRM. |
Bottom line
For an Australian business already running HubSpot, Breeze is an easy yes. It's the AI you should turn on first, because it works on your own data inside the tools your team already uses, the free tier delivers real value, and — unusually for a US AI vendor — you can keep that data onshore in Sydney. The outcome-based agent pricing is honest, and the Customer and Prospecting agents can give a small team genuine leverage.
It scores 19 rather than higher for honest reasons. The list pricing is in USD, so Australians don't get the clean native-AUD experience a local vendor would offer. The agents that do the heavy lifting sit behind a Professional or Enterprise plan and then bill per result, so the real cost stacks up. There's no IRAP assessment for government buyers. And Breeze is only as good as the CRM beneath it — it rewards businesses that already keep clean data. None of that dents the core recommendation: if you're on HubSpot, switch Breeze on. If you're not, evaluate the platform first and let the AI be the tie-breaker, not the headline. We'll refresh this if the pricing or the data policy moves.
Score
| Criterion | Score | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Value for Money | 3/5 | Genuinely useful free tier; outcome-based agent pricing is fair, but full value needs a paid Hub plus credits, so the real cost stacks up |
| Ease of Use | 4/5 | Near-zero setup if you already use HubSpot — the AI is embedded; but HubSpot itself has a learning curve, and Breeze depends on clean CRM data |
| Feature Depth | 4/5 | Broad: Copilot, four agents, enrichment via Intelligence, 100+ embedded features — wide coverage, though some agents are early/beta |
| Australian Fit | 4/5 | Sydney onshore data residency, AU legal entity, GST disclosed, no training on your data; loses a mark for USD list pricing and no IRAP |
| Reliability & Support | 4/5 | Large NYSE-listed vendor, SOC 2 Type II, AWS hosting, established AU/APAC support; no dedicated AU AI support line |
| Total | 19/25 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good |

There's no native AUD list price — published pricing is in USD. But you contract with HubSpot Australia Pty Ltd, GST is calculated and disclosed before purchase, and agreements are governed by NSW law.
Is there a free plan?

Can I keep my data in Australia?
Yes — and that's the standout. HubSpot opened a Sydney data centre in February 2024, and customers can host their CRM data onshore, with existing paid customers able to migrate free. Note there's no IRAP assessment, which matters if you sell to government.
How much do the AI agents cost?
They bill per result through HubSpot Credits (US$10 per 1,000): Customer Agent US$0.50 per resolved conversation, Prospecting Agent US$1.00 per qualified lead, Data Agent US$0.10 per answer.
