AgriDigital Review Australia 2026: Grain Trading Software, Not an AI Tool
- Pricing
- Quote-based pricing — see the pricing table
The gate: Five stars need 21+ and Australian Fit of at least 4/5.
Skip to the verdictThe verdict: AgriDigital is a capable, Australian-built platform for moving grain, fertiliser and cotton through the supply chain — contracts, inventory, and automated settlements with levies and RCTIs handled for you. It is made for the Australian grain trade, and it shows. But call it what it is: this is supply-chain SaaS with workflow automation, not an AI product. If you operate a site, trade commodities, or run a grower business and want your paperwork and payments to run themselves, it is worth a quote. If you came looking for AI, look elsewhere. Score: 17/25 — Very Good.
If you grow, store, buy or sell grain in Australia, you already know the admin. Contracts to track. Deliveries to match. Growers to pay. Levies, royalties and storage fees to split out. RCTIs to issue. AgriDigital is built to take that load off your desk. It is an Australian platform that ran the world's first physical agri-commodity settlement on a blockchain in NSW in December 2016 (Forbes Australia), and it knows the local plumbing — the National Grower Register, the Australian Business Register, Xero, the NHVR, and the weighbridge gear at your site (AgriDigital). The catch, for a directory about AI tools, is simple: there is no meaningful AI here. We list it because Australians search for it in the AgTech space, and because it is genuinely good at the job it does. Just go in clear-eyed about what that job is.
What it does well
- Settlements that run themselves. This is the standout. AgriDigital's Remit module generates RCTIs, tax invoices, bills and grower payments, then calculates and collects the money and splits out the deductions — government and industry levies, end-point royalties, storage, transport and provider fees (AgriDigital — levy & EPR deductions). For anyone who has done this by hand in a spreadsheet at harvest, that is the whole pitch.
- Live contract and position tracking. Create and access a single live view of contracts with status updates, and watch your position update as transactions flow through (AgriDigital). No re-keying.
- Real-time inventory across sites. Track grain, fertiliser and cotton stock across multiple sites and supply-chain points, with position dashboards and audit-ready records (AgriDigital).
- Australian integrations that matter. NGR and ABR for grower and entity data, Xero for the books, NHVR for transport compliance, and weighbridge and scale systems from Mettler-Toledo, Rinstrum and Diverseco (AgriDigital). These are the connections an Australian site operator actually needs.
- Daily cash-price visibility shared across connected counterparties, plus delivery and order management with grower communication built in (AgriDigital).
- Unlimited team members with role-based access (Admin, Full, Restricted), pre-built reports and CSV export (AgriDigital).
- A trade and finance layer. The platform's Transactions module covers buying and selling, and AgriDigital partners with Digital Commodity Finance to fund commodities including wheat, barley, canola, sorghum, cotton and fertiliser (AgriDigital Help Centre).
For the record on its history: AgriDigital ran the world's first physical agri-commodity settlement on blockchain in NSW in December 2016 (Forbes Australia), and picked up Finnies blockchain awards in 2017 and 2018 (SmartCompany). That pedigree is real. How much blockchain still sits under the live product today is not something the vendor's current pages make clear.
Watch out for
- It is not an AI tool. We found no verified machine-learning, predictive-analytics or generative-AI features on the vendor's pages (AgriDigital). The platform is supply-chain SaaS plus automation. We could not, however, find a flat "no AI anywhere" statement from the vendor either — so treat the AI angle as "none that we can confirm," not a promise.
- No public pricing. Cost is quote-only — the vendor publishes no figures and routes you to a demo/sales contact (AgriDigital). You cannot price it up before you talk to sales.
- Access appears to be gated. The vendor doesn't publish a self-serve grower sign-up flow on the pages we reviewed; onboarding is routed through a demo/sales contact. We could not confirm the exact access model — whether grower accounts are invitation- or NGR-driven — from a vendor page, so ask before assuming you can sign up on your own. This does not read as an open sign-up tool.
- Narrow by design. It is built for grain and commodity supply chains — growers, traders, site operators, buyers, brokers. It is not a general-purpose business tool (AgriDigital Help Centre).
- Data residency is not published. Where your customer data is stored is not stated on the vendor or help-centre pages we reviewed. For some buyers that will matter; ask before you sign.
- Small vendor. Reported by third-party data aggregator Latka at around a 15-person team and roughly $1.7M revenue in 2025 (Latka) — figures the vendor does not publish itself, so treat them as indicative. For mission-critical, harvest-season use, weigh that scale.
Pricing
| Plan | Price (AUD) | GST | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform (all users) | Not published — quote only | Not stated by vendor | Customised by trade volume, data requirements and support level |
There is genuinely nothing to convert here — AgriDigital publishes no figures in any currency (AgriDigital). The vendor is Australian, so quotes are presumed to be in AUD, but even that is not confirmed on a vendor page — our inference, not a vendor quote. Whether grower accounts are free or paid, and how GST is applied to subscription fees, you will only learn by asking AgriDigital directly. Worth a separate note: the product handles Australian tax artefacts — RCTIs, tax invoices, levies — as a core feature, even though the GST treatment of the subscription itself is unstated.
Australian fit
This is where AgriDigital earns its keep. It is Australian-made, with AU-based operations and an Australian help centre (AgriDigital Help Centre). More importantly, it is built around Australian grain-trade infrastructure: the National Grower Register, the Australian Business Register, end-point royalties, industry and government levies, and RCTIs (AgriDigital). A US or generic global tool simply would not speak this language. That is a real moat for a local operator.
The gaps are about disclosure, not substance. Pricing is not published in AUD or any currency. Data residency and hosting location are not stated on the pages we reviewed. And while there is an AU support function, the specifics — phone hours, SLA, a named support team — are not verified. None of that is a red flag on its own, but if data residency or guaranteed support response times are deal-breakers for you, get them in writing before you commit.
A note on professional advice: AgriDigital handles tax invoices, levies and payments, but it is software, not an accountant. It does not replace qualified financial or tax advice for your business.
Scoring
| Criterion | Score | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Value for Money | 3/5 | Likely fair for the automation it delivers, but quote-only pricing means you can't judge before you talk to sales. |
| Ease of Use | 3/5 | Purpose-built and well-integrated, but gated, invitation-driven access adds onboarding friction. |
| Feature Depth | 4/5 | Genuinely deep in its lane — contracts, inventory, automated settlements, levies, royalties and AU integrations. |
| Australian Fit | 4/5 | Australian-made and built around NGR, ABR, RCTIs and levies; held back only by unpublished data residency and pricing. |
| Reliability & Support | 3/5 | Established since 2016 with an AU help centre, but a ~15-person vendor with unverified SLA specifics. |
Total: 17/25 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good
Update history
- 28 Jun 2026 — First reviewed.
- 21 Sep 2026 — both FinTech Australia citations are gone for good, and re-sourcing them cost some detail. The two cited newsroom posts returned HTTP 404. FinTech Australia has rebuilt its site —
/newsroom/no longer exists as a path, replaced by/community-news/and/fintech-australia-news/— and its sitemap’s oldest surviving items date from around 2023, so the 2016 and 2017 posts were not migrated and have no successor URL. The blockchain-settlement claim is now sourced to Forbes Australia (25 September 2022): “In 2016, AgriDigital conducted the world’s first live settlement of a physical commodity via blockchain.” That supports the world-first and the year, but not the “December” or “in NSW” specifics this review states three times — those now rest on the dead source alone. The Finnies claim is now sourced to SmartCompany (25 May 2017), which names AgriDigital as winner of Excellence in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger at the inaugural awards. That covers 2017 only; the review also claims a 2018 win, which is currently unsourced. Nothing has been deleted or softened in the body — the gaps are named here rather than papered over, and queued for a proper re-verification. None of this touches the score: the review’s verdict turns on AgriDigital not being an AI product, which is unaffected. No same-day capture — archive.org was returning “Temporarily Offline” and HTTP 429 on 21 September 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Is AgriDigital actually an AI tool? Not in any meaningful sense we could verify. It is supply-chain software with strong workflow automation, and it pioneered blockchain settlement back in 2016 (Forbes Australia). We found no confirmed machine-learning or generative-AI features on the vendor's pages (AgriDigital). If AI is your reason for looking, this isn't it.
How much does AgriDigital cost in Australia? There is no public price. It is quote-only, customised by your trade volume, data needs and support level. Pricing is presumed to be in AUD as the vendor is Australian, but that isn't confirmed on a vendor page — that's our inference, not a vendor quote. You'll need to contact AgriDigital directly.
Can a grower sign up directly? Probably not on your own. The vendor doesn't publish a self-serve grower sign-up flow on the pages we reviewed — onboarding routes through a demo/sales contact, and we couldn't confirm the exact access model from a vendor page. In practice you'll likely need a site operator or trader already on the platform, so check with AgriDigital before assuming you can join independently.
Does it work with Xero and Australian grain systems? Yes. It integrates with Xero, the National Grower Register, the Australian Business Register, the NHVR, and weighbridge systems from Mettler-Toledo, Rinstrum and Diverseco (AgriDigital). This is one of its strongest points for Australian operators.
Where is my data stored? Not disclosed on the vendor or help-centre pages we reviewed. If data residency matters to your business, ask AgriDigital before you sign.
