Verdict (TL;DR): MaiaGrazing was the original Australian digital grazing platform, and it has now evolved into Atlas Grazing under the Atlas Ag umbrella. The platform helps livestock producers plan rotational grazing, track mob movements, monitor pasture conditions, and manage daily operations — all from a web browser and mobile app. It is a solid, genuinely Australian tool for graziers who want to move beyond spreadsheets. The "AI" here is analytics and decision-support, not generative AI — and that's the honest description.

What Maia Grazing (Atlas Grazing) is

Important context for new users: MaiaGrazing is no longer accepting new accounts. It has been succeeded by Atlas Grazing, the next-generation platform built by the same company — Atlas Ag (formally Atlas Agri Solutions Pty Ltd, ABN 38 637 187 716). Existing MaiaGrazing Pro customers are being migrated at their own pace. This review covers both the MaiaGrazing heritage and the current Atlas Grazing product, because searching for "Maia Grazing" in Australia leads to Atlas Grazing.

Atlas Ag is an Australian company that also runs Atlas Carbon, a carbon farming and land management business. Atlas Grazing was launched as the evolution of MaiaGrazing, which spent roughly ten years helping Australian livestock producers manage rotational grazing, pasture utilisation, and stocking-rate decisions.

What Atlas Grazing actually does: - Digital property mapping with interactive paddock maps - Livestock inventory and mob tracking (with weight, class, reproductive state) - Grazing charts — past, current, and planned rotations - Pasture management: feed inventory, expected yield, residuals - Rainfall recording and rolling averages - Task management and daily operations - Mobile app (iOS and Android) - Team management — unlimited users across an operation

The platform is built for rotational graziers, particularly cattle and sheep producers in Australia and New Zealand, though it is used internationally.

A note on "AI" in this product: Atlas Grazing is an analytics and decision-support platform. It includes automated animal ratings calculations, which derive performance scores from your input data. There is no generative AI, no large language model, and no predictive modelling that uses external data. The intelligence is in the data structuring, historical visualisation, and systematic planning frameworks it provides. Good software — described accurately.

What it costs in Australia

Atlas Grazing pricing is in AUD (primary source: atlasag.com/atlasgrazing/pricing-core, accessed 26 June 2026).

Core Plan - From $350/year (annual billing) for small operations - 30-day free trial, no credit card required - 1 property, unlimited users, unlimited mobs and paddocks - Includes: digital farm map, livestock inventory, paddock mapping, graze chart, automated animal ratings, task management, and quarterly review (1hr with the Atlas team) - Scale pricing applies based on animal count — larger operations pay more, with pricing calculators on the Atlas website

Management Plan and Performance Plan — higher-tier plans for multi-property operations, deeper analytics, and more advanced planning tools. Pricing is scale-based and shown via the online calculator. The meta description confirms "starting from $350/year."

Early access offer: A 40% discount code (GRAZING) was available at time of review for the first year.

An enterprise offering exists for very large multi-property stations with complex operations.

All pricing is in AUD. GST treatment: (Atlas Ag website does not explicitly state whether prices are GST inclusive or exclusive at time of review; confirm directly.)

How it works in practice

After signing up (30-day free trial, no card), you set up your property by importing paddock data, mob records, rainfall history, and graze history via CSV. Alternatively, the Atlas team can upload an existing paddock map. The Quarterly Review included in Core gives you a one-hour session with the team each quarter.

The graze chart is the core planning tool. It shows historical rotation data, current active grazes, and lets you plan future moves — matching stocking rates to carry capacity estimates and monitoring rest periods. Mob inventory tracks headcount, weight, class, and reproductive status in real time as you record events.

The mobile app (iOS: App Store, Android: Google Play) lets you update records from the paddock, not just the office. This is a genuine improvement over MaiaGrazing, which had weaker mobile access.

Rainfall data from your property feeds into a rolling average dashboard, which supports seasonal planning decisions. The grazing history and performance tabs let you compare paddock productivity over time.

What it does well

Deep grazing management framework. For rotational graziers who want to get systematic — tracking rest days, recovery periods, carry capacity, and feed-on-offer — this is purpose-built software. MaiaGrazing's decade of refinement shows in the depth of the graze planning tools.

Genuinely Australian. Atlas Ag is an Australian company with Australian farming backgrounds in the support and advisory team. Case studies come from Queensland, Western Victoria, and other AU regions. The platform understands seasonal patterns, drought conditions, and Australian livestock categories (Charbray, Droughtmaster, Merino, etc.).

Unlimited users in all plans. No per-seat pricing that penalises larger families or teams. The whole station workforce can use it at no extra cost.

Free trial without a card. Thirty days to test the platform on a real property with your own data before committing any money.

Mobile app. The new Atlas Grazing app (absent from MaiaGrazing) makes it practical to update records from the paddock in real time, which is where data entry needs to happen on a livestock property.

Quarterly review sessions. An included one-hour review with the team each quarter is a meaningful support differentiator, particularly for producers who are new to digital grazing management.

What it doesn't do well

MaiaGrazing transition is still in progress. If you are an existing MaiaGrazing customer, migration to Atlas Grazing is available but not automatic — you need to request it. The legacy platform is still running. This creates some confusion about which product to use and what the future support timeline looks like for MaiaGrazing Pro.

No water or infrastructure monitoring. Atlas Grazing does not monitor tank levels, bore output, pump status, or water points. For remote cattle stations where water security is the primary risk, you need a separate tool (see Farmbot, reviewed separately).

Scale pricing isn't transparent upfront. The "from $350/year" entry is clear, but what a 2,000-head beef operation actually pays requires using the online calculator — which renders JavaScript-heavy and pulls live figures. A simple published price tier table would help producers compare options quickly.

No pasture biomass satellite integration. Platforms like Cibo Labs integrate satellite imagery for pasture biomass estimates. Atlas Grazing relies on producer-entered feed-on-offer data. For large-scale or remote operations where manual pasture assessment is impractical, this is a gap.

Not suitable for cropping operations. Atlas Grazing is built for livestock graziers. Broadacre cropping, horticulture, or mixed-enterprise operations with significant cropping components will find it limited.

Australian fit

Atlas Ag is an Australian company operating under ABN 38 637 187 716. The platform was built from the ground up for Australian livestock conditions, with specific support for rotational grazing methods common in Australian pastoral systems. The team has farming backgrounds, and support staff include Grazing Solutions Advisers who understand the practical realities of Australian properties.

Pricing is in AUD. MaiaGrazing and Atlas Grazing testimonials come from Australian farms: La Trobe Station (QLD), Chatsworth House (Western Victoria), and others. The platform acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia — a meaningful signal of the company's Australian roots and values.

The platform has also expanded to the UK and South Africa (hence the Reflective Group's international scope), but Australian livestock conditions remain the primary design context.

Australian Fit score: 4/5 — strongly Australian, though the international expansion means it is not exclusively Australian-market focused.

Alternatives

AgriWebb — AgriWebb is the closest direct competitor: also an Australian livestock management platform with mob records, EID scanning integration, and compliance tools. AgriWebb has stronger NLIS/ELDB integration for cattle traceability; Atlas Grazing has deeper grazing chart functionality. Worth comparing both.

Cibo Labs — Cibo Labs offers satellite-based pasture analytics for Australian graziers, giving biomass estimates and feed-on-offer data from aerial imagery. It complements Atlas Grazing rather than replacing it, but for remote stations where manual pasture assessment is impractical, Cibo is worth investigating alongside this platform.

Farmbot — Farmbot handles water and infrastructure monitoring that Atlas Grazing does not. Many graziers use both together.

Bottom line

If you run cattle, sheep, or mixed livestock in Australia and want to move from pen-and-paper or spreadsheet grazing records to a structured digital system, Atlas Grazing is the most refined Australian-built option available. The MaiaGrazing heritage gives it a decade of refinement that newer entrants lack.

The Core plan at $350/year is affordable for most commercial livestock operations, and the 30-day free trial with no credit card makes the entry point low risk. The main gap is satellite pasture data — you still need to enter your own feed estimates — and it does not monitor water infrastructure.

Who should use it: Rotational graziers — beef, sheep, or mixed livestock — who want systematic grazing records, mob tracking, and planning tools. Particularly strong for properties with multiple paddocks and complex rotation strategies.

Who should look elsewhere: Cropping operations, feedlots wanting NLIS cattle traceability as a primary feature, or producers looking for satellite-based pasture analytics as the core tool.

Request blocked.” from a CloudFront edge, in a browser on an Australian connection, not merely to a fetcher — so this is not the usual bot wall that a browser walks through. No figure in this review has been changed; they stand as read on 26 June 2026 and are now unverified. Worth noting that MaiaGrazing is an Australian AgTech product and one of the few in its category, so its pricing matters more to this audience than most. Frequently asked questions

Is MaiaGrazing still available?

MaiaGrazing is no longer open to new users. It has been succeeded by Atlas Grazing, the next-generation platform from the same company — Atlas Ag. Existing MaiaGrazing Pro customers can migrate to Atlas Grazing at their own pace by contacting the Atlas team. New users should sign up directly for Atlas Grazing at atlasag.com/atlasgrazing.

How much does Atlas Grazing cost in Australia?

Atlas Grazing starts from $350 per year (AUD) for the Core plan, billed annually. Scale pricing applies based on animal count — larger operations pay more, with an online calculator at atlasag.com/atlasgrazing/pricing. A 30-day free trial is available with no credit card required. An early access discount of 40% off the first year was available at time of review.

Does Atlas Grazing use artificial intelligence?

Atlas Grazing is an analytics and decision-support platform, not a generative AI product. It includes automated animal ratings calculations and systematic grazing planning tools, but does not use machine learning models, large language models, or satellite imagery for pasture data. The 'intelligence' is in the structured data framework and historical performance analytics it provides.
