Semrush AI Visibility & Adobe Brand Visibility: What It Means for Australians (2026)
Updated: 23 June 2026 · Category: AI Search & Visibility (AEO/GEO)
What changed. Semrush's AI-visibility tooling — the part that tracks whether your brand gets named in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot and Google's AI answers — now powers a new enterprise product. On 17 June 2026, Adobe announced Adobe Brand Visibility, which layers Semrush's AI Optimization data on top of Adobe's LLM Optimizer to form one generative-engine-optimisation (AEO/GEO) offering. This follows Adobe's acquisition of Semrush, which Adobe confirmed it completed on 28 April 2026. Two things now sit under one roof: Semrush's own AI Visibility Toolkit (US$99/month base — 1 domain, 25 prompts; the add-on we covered in our Semrush review), and the bigger Adobe enterprise route built on the same data.
Adobe says the product draws on a database of nearly 300 million real-world AI search prompts and covers ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity AI. Notably, Gemini is not named in Adobe's announcement — so if Google's consumer assistant matters to you, treat its coverage as pending. Adobe has not published pricing for Brand Visibility, and the announcement reads as available-now ("early customer demand has exceeded expectations") rather than carrying a clear general-availability date or tier list (pricing and GA detail not disclosed by Adobe as of 23 June 2026).
What it means for Australians. First, the quiet upside: if you already pay for Semrush, you may already have access to the AEO data — or be one add-on away from it — rather than needing a second pure-play subscription. That's worth checking before you buy anything new. Second, the Adobe route is firmly enterprise. It pairs visibility tracking with content optimisation and governance, which is overkill (and almost certainly over-budget) for a sole trader or small business. The same Australian friction we flagged in the Semrush review carries over: USD billing, GST added at checkout, and US-only data residency. None of that improves by routing through Adobe.
Does it change our recommendation? No — it slots Semrush into the new AI Search & Visibility (AEO/GEO) category as the incumbent-with-AEO. If you live in Semrush already, its AI Toolkit is a sensible way to start measuring AI visibility without adding a tool. If you're an enterprise with budget and a content team, Adobe Brand Visibility is the heavyweight path — but it's not built for Australian SMBs. For most readers, the cheaper pure-plays still win on simplicity and price: start free with the HubSpot AI Search Grader, monitor cheaply with Otterly.AI, and step up to Profound only if you're serious. The rule of thumb holds: check whether the SEO tool you already pay for covers AEO before paying twice.
