Verdict (TL;DR): Seamless.AI markets itself as a real-time search engine for business contacts — 1.3 billion of them, with AI to write your outreach on top. For Australian sales teams it has two problems that cannot be negotiated away. First, the platform's own Terms of Use state it "may not be suitable for use outside the United States," and user reports consistently confirm that Australian contact coverage is thin and unreliable. Second, the entire product is built on scraped B2B personal data, a model that sits poorly against Australia's Privacy Act and the unfolding reforms to it. The pricing structure is also sales-led and opaque, with annual contracts, mandatory minimums, and add-ons that materially lift the real cost above the headline. If you are an Australian team selling into the US market, it deserves a careful trial. If you are prospecting locally, there are better options.

What Seamless.AI is
Seamless.AI is a B2B sales intelligence platform founded in 2014 by Brandon Bornancin, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. The core product is a contact database — the company claims over 1.3 billion verified contacts and 414 million mobile numbers — wrapped in a credit-based lookup system: you search for a decision-maker, spend a credit, and get their work email and direct dial returned in real time rather than pulled from a static snapshot.
The platform has expanded well beyond the database. Current features include Prospector (the search and lookup engine), Autopilot (an AI agent that builds prospect lists automatically based on your ideal customer profile), Buyer Intent (signals indicating which accounts are actively researching relevant topics), Data Enrichment (filling gaps in your existing CRM records), and an AI Assistant (email-writing and sequence-drafting from a prompt). A Connect workspace was added in 2024–25, bundling email, calling, and social outreach tools alongside the data engine.
The product targets sales development reps and outbound-heavy revenue teams, and it competes directly with ZoomInfo, Apollo.io, and Cognism. The pitch is volume: more contacts, faster lookups, AI that keeps the pipeline moving without manual research.
What it costs in Australia
Seamless.AI pricing is partly published and partly sales-led, and the structure is set up to push you toward a conversation rather than a checkout. All prices are in USD. Annual contracts are standard — no monthly billing at most tiers.
| Plan | USD price | Approx AUD (×1.40) | Credits | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 50 lifetime | Enough to test data quality only |
| Basic | ~$147/user/mo | ~AUD$206 | 250/mo | Published; annual only |
| Pro | Custom quote | Estimated AUD$245–465/user/mo (estimate) | ~1,000/day per user | Minimum 5 users; requires sales call |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | (estimate) | Custom | Full suite; negotiated |
Pricing as of 26 June 2026 from Seamless.AI's published page and third-party cost analyses. Pro and Enterprise figures are estimates based on user-reported ranges — Seamless.AI does not publish these rates. AUD conversions approximate at ~1.40. Figures are ex-GST: a GST-registered business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service; other buyers add ~10%. if registered. GST treatment is your responsibility; Seamless.AI does not issue Australian tax invoices.
The credit model is central: one credit equals one phone-plus-email lookup on Prospector. Autopilot, Data Enrichment, and the AI Assistant draw from a separate "Universal Credits" pool, which is sold separately from standard credits. In practice, teams doing active outbound routinely exhaust their monthly allocation and pay overage. The headline per-seat price is the floor.
Four features — AI Assistant, Data Enrichment, Autopilot, and Buyer Intent — display as checkmarks on the Pro plan but are paywalled add-ons that must be purchased separately. This has attracted significant user complaints on review platforms.
Annual contracts come with a 60- to 90-day cancellation notice window before auto-renewal. Missing that window means paying for another year regardless.
How it works in practice
The basic workflow: you open Seamless.AI's search interface (or its Chrome extension, which overlays on LinkedIn), enter a name, job title, or company, and the platform returns a contact record — email address, direct dial, mobile — by querying its database in real time rather than from a static snapshot. That distinction is meaningful in theory: Seamless.AI's claim is that the data is fresher than competitors because it re-verifies on demand.
Autopilot takes this a step further: you describe your ideal customer profile, and the AI agent runs searches and builds lists continuously without manual intervention. For a US-focused sales team doing high-volume outbound, that is a genuinely useful time saver.
The Chrome extension is the main daily-use surface, functioning on LinkedIn profiles, company websites, and Gmail. Users consistently rate it as snappy and reasonably accurate for US contacts. For Australian contacts, however, the picture is materially different. Multiple independent reviews and user reports note that Australian records are sparse, stale, or absent. Mobile numbers for Australian professionals are particularly poorly covered. Seamless.AI's own Terms of Use contain the telling line that the service "may not be suitable for use outside the United States" — which is as close to an official caveat as you will find.
What it does well
- Volume at the US end of the market. If you are an Australian company selling into the US, the database breadth (1.3B+ contacts claimed) and Autopilot's list-building are genuine productivity tools.
- Real-time lookup model. Querying contacts on demand rather than pulling from a monthly-updated snapshot means records are often more current than static databases.
- Chrome extension convenience. The overlay on LinkedIn profiles is polished and fast — you can pull a contact record without leaving the page.
- AI writing tools. The AI Assistant drafts outreach emails and sequences from a plain-language brief. It is functional and saves time when you are starting from a blank page.
- Free tier is a real test. Fifty lifetime credits are enough to evaluate data quality before committing money.
What it doesn't do well
- Australian contact coverage is thin. This is the core problem for local buyers. The database is built for the US market. Expect gaps, stale records, and missing mobile numbers for Australian prospects. Independent audits confirm this consistently.
- Opaque pricing and aggressive contracts. The published pricing covers only the Basic plan. Pro and Enterprise require a sales call. Annual contracts are mandatory, and cancellation windows of 60–90 days before renewal are easy to miss. Several users report difficulty cancelling.
- Paywalled features that appear as inclusions. AI Assistant, Autopilot, Data Enrichment, and Buyer Intent are checked on the Pro plan comparison table but require separate purchase. This is misleading.
- USD billing only, no Australian tax invoices. All fees are in US dollars per the Terms of Service. There is no GST tax invoice. Your accountant handles the FX and GST treatment.
- Compliance posture is US-centric. Seamless.AI is CCPA-compliant and GDPR-aware where its customers require it, but there is no specific Australian Privacy Act compliance statement. Its data sourcing — scraping public professional profiles — sits in contested territory under Australian privacy law (see section below).
- No Australian data residency. All data is hosted in the US. For businesses handling Australian personal data, that is a consideration under APP 8 (cross-border disclosure obligations).
Australian fit — Privacy Act, Spam Act, and DNCR exposure
This is where Australian buyers need to read carefully.
The data sourcing model. Seamless.AI builds its database by scraping publicly available professional information — LinkedIn profiles, company websites, business directories — and reselling contact records to paying customers. Under Australia's Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, collecting, using, and disclosing personal information (which includes professional email addresses and phone numbers of individuals) requires a lawful basis. The "legitimate interests" basis used by many US data vendors is less clearly defined in Australian law than in GDPR jurisdictions. There is no publicly stated Australian Privacy Act compliance framework on Seamless.AI's website — only a CCPA and general GDPR reference. (no primary AU compliance statement found)
Your obligations as the buyer. If you use Seamless.AI to contact Australian individuals, you are the entity responsible under Australian law. The Spam Act 2003 requires consent (express or inferred), a clear sender identity, and a working unsubscribe mechanism on every commercial electronic message — including cold B2B emails. The Do Not Call Register applies to residential and individual mobile numbers (B2B calls to fixed business lines have more flexibility, but sole traders and partnerships are treated like consumers for DNCR purposes). Calling individuals without checking the register carries penalties of up to $250,000 per contravention for businesses.
Seamless.AI does not check the Australian DNCR on your behalf. That is your job. A platform that auto-builds lists from a database and feeds them into a dialer or email sequence without DNCR scrubbing creates real compliance exposure.
Recommended action before using this tool in Australia: seek specific legal advice on your use case, maintain your own consent records, scrub every list against the DNCR before any phone outreach, and ensure every email includes a compliant unsubscribe mechanism.
Alternatives
If you are prospecting in the Australian market, these are worth considering:
- Apollo.io — broader free tier, more transparent pricing, international dialer at the top plan, and more established compliance documentation than Seamless.AI. Still USD-billed with thin AU coverage.
- Clay — a data orchestration layer that pulls from multiple enrichment sources rather than one proprietary database. More setup work, but you can route AU contacts through sources with better local coverage.
- Cognism — the strongest compliance posture of any major player in this category, including explicit Australian DNC screening. EMEA coverage is its strength; AU coverage is improving but still secondary.
Bottom line
Seamless.AI is a capable B2B contact database — for the US market. For Australian teams prospecting locally, it has a fundamental coverage problem backed by the vendor's own terms. Pile on the opaque pricing, aggressive contract terms, and a compliance framework that does not specifically address Australian Privacy Act obligations, and it is hard to recommend as a primary prospecting tool for AU-focused outbound. If you are selling into the US from Australia and can absorb USD billing, it earns a free trial. Otherwise, start with Apollo.io or Cognism.

It is better suited to Australian teams prospecting into the US market than to those targeting local contacts.
Is Seamless.AI compliant with Australian privacy law?
Seamless.AI does not publish a specific Australian Privacy Act compliance statement. Its compliance framework references CCPA and GDPR only. Australian businesses using Seamless.AI to contact Australian individuals remain responsible under the Privacy Act 1988, Spam Act 2003, and Do Not Call Register Act 2006 — Seamless.AI does not scrub contacts against the Australian DNCR on your behalf.
How much does Seamless.AI cost in Australian dollars?
Seamless.AI's Basic plan is priced at approximately USD$147 per user per month (roughly AUD$206 at ~1.40 exchange rate) on an annual contract.
