Pricing figures updated 6 September 2026: USD prices are converted at the current rate (1 USD ≈ 1.40 AUD, verified 5 September 2026) and shown ex-GST, replacing the retired 1.55 + GST basis. A GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service; other buyers should allow ~10% on top (Methodology).

Verdict (TL;DR): Lyzr is a well-funded enterprise agent infrastructure platform with a compelling data-sovereignty pitch: deploy in your own VPC or on-premise and keep your data behind your own firewall. For Australian regulated industries — banking, insurance, government — that is a credible offer. But Lyzr is not for SMBs. The platform requires enterprise IT capability, paid modules start at US$100,000 a year, prepaid, and the learning curve is steep. If you have those resources, it warrants a serious look. If you don't, it's the wrong tool.

Score: 14/25 — ⭐⭐⭐ Good

What Lyzr is

Lyzr is an enterprise AI agent orchestration platform founded in 2023 by Siva Surendira, Anirudh Narayan, and Ankit Garg. The company is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, and raised a Series A round in March 2026 — led by Accenture — at a reported valuation of USD $250 million (approximately AUD $350 million at the time of writing (at ~1.40 exchange rate)).

The platform's core pitch: give enterprises the infrastructure to deploy not just a single AI agent, but an entire AI workforce in production — agents that handle KYC processing, contract review, lead enrichment, employee onboarding, HR performance reviews, and customer support, running autonomously at scale. Lyzr provides the orchestration layer, guardrails, memory, knowledge base, and compliance controls. You bring your LLMs and your data.

Key components:

  • Lyzr Agent Studio — the visual interface for building and managing agents
  • Lyzr Architect — a separate product for higher-level agent system design
  • Named prebuilt agents — Jazon (AI SDR), Skott (AI marketer), Diane (AI HR), Jeff (AI support), Kathy (AI competitor analyst), Dwight (AI RFP scout)
  • Responsible AI module — built-in guardrails, hallucination management, PII redaction
  • Deployment options — Lyzr Cloud, private VPC, or fully on-premise

The Accenture partnership is notable: it signals Lyzr's intent to compete in the same space as Salesforce Agentforce and Microsoft Copilot Studio, not the no-code SMB market.

What it costs in Australia

Lyzr has repriced since June. Its pricing page (pricing.lyzragents.com, read 30 September 2026) now sells four modules at published annual, prepaid prices in US dollars, and budgets production agents by the "agent-month": one agent running for one month.

Module Published price (USD) Approx. AUD ex-GST
Build, test & experiment (Agent Studio, Community plan) Free Free
Control your agents (Opencontroller) $250,000 a year; basecode for coding agents +$250,000 ~$350,000
Put agents to work (Agent Studio, Architect, SuperFlow) $250,000 per block of 150 agent-months (about 12 production agents for a year, with 2 forward-deployed engineers); extra agent-months $1,700 each ~$350,000 per block
AI for every employee (Open Cowork) $100,000 a year, unlimited users ~$140,000
Own your models (Openfinetuner) $250,000 for 2.5 trillion training tokens ~$350,000

Agents in development, personal agents, seats and knowledge bases are free; only production agents draw agent-months. Deployment can be Lyzr-hosted, in your own cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle) at no extra charge, or on-premises on Lyzr Optimus hardware from US$500,000 in year one. The per-agent-run rates this review quoted in June (US$0.08 on Lyzr Cloud, US$0.03 in a VPC) are no longer on the page.

Free to build, six figures to run. Building and testing costs nothing; anything in production starts at US$100,000 a year, prepaid. There is still no SMB self-service tier, and a detailed estimate needs a work email.

GST: As a US entity with no Australian subsidiary listed, Lyzr's cloud invoices to Australian businesses are likely subject to GST via the reverse-charge mechanism. Confirm with your accountant.

How it works in practice

Lyzr operates at an infrastructure level. You do not simply "build a chatbot." You design an agent system — defining roles, knowledge bases, tool access, memory configurations, and orchestration logic — and deploy it into production.

The Agent Studio provides a visual builder for assembling agents and workflows. The Responsible AI module adds guardrails: input validation, output filtering, PII redaction in logs, and policy-based access controls. The Hallucination Manager monitors agent outputs and flags responses that fall outside expected confidence ranges.

For a complex deployment — say, a bank deploying a KYC agent that validates documents, checks sanctions lists, and routes cases to human reviewers — Lyzr provides:

  1. Prebuilt industry blueprints (banking, insurance, HR, sales, procurement)
  2. A knowledge graph layer for agent memory and context
  3. An audit log of every agent action
  4. SSO, RBAC, and SOC 2 Type II compliance

The VPC and on-premise deployment paths are key: your data — customer records, document uploads, workflow inputs — never transits Lyzr's cloud infrastructure. You run Lyzr's orchestration engine inside your own perimeter.

What it does well

Data sovereignty is the standout. The VPC/on-premise deployment model is not marketing — it is real infrastructure. For Australian regulated industries under the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles, and sector-specific requirements (APRA CPS 234, health records legislation), keeping agent-processed data inside your own infrastructure is a material compliance advantage. At USD $0.03 per agent run on VPC, the price premium over cloud is modest.

Responsible AI is built in, not bolted on. The Hallucination Manager, PII redaction, and policy guardrails are part of the core platform, not add-ons. For enterprises worried about agents producing misleading outputs or leaking sensitive data in logs, this is a genuine differentiator.

Prebuilt industry blueprints speed deployment. Rather than designing a KYC agent from scratch, you start from Lyzr's validated template and customise. For sectors where Lyzr has existing case studies — banking, insurance, HR — this materially reduces build time.

AWS partnership. Lyzr's published AWS partnership means you can deploy the VPC version on AWS and route it to AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2). That gives Australian regulated industries a path to on-shore, Lyzr-powered agents without a full on-premise hardware investment.

What it doesn't do well

Accessibility is low. Lyzr is not a tool you sign up for and start using in an afternoon. You need enterprise IT, a technical lead, and a clear use-case brief before the demo even makes sense. The learning curve will be steep for any team without prior agent-infrastructure experience.

Pricing is enterprise-only. Module prices are now published, but they are six-figure annual prepayments (US$100,000 to US$250,000 each), and a detailed estimate sits behind a work-email gate and a sales conversation.

No AUD pricing. All published pricing is in USD. No AUD billing, no local GST invoicing visible.

No Australian office or local support. US-headquartered. Support SLAs (48-hour custom integration SLA at enterprise tier) are reasonable, but time-zone alignment with Australian operations will be challenging.

SMB use case is weak. The prebuilt named agents (Jazon, Skott, Diane) sound accessible, but deploying them still requires configuration, integration, and ongoing management. This is not a tool a small business owner runs themselves.

Community is smaller than open-source alternatives. Lyzr's GitHub footprint and community are substantially smaller than CrewAI's or n8n's. If you hit an edge case, you are more likely to be waiting on Lyzr support than finding a community solution.

Australian fit

Data residency: The strongest in this review cohort for enterprise compliance. VPC and on-premise deployment options mean data can stay entirely within Australian infrastructure if you run it on AWS Sydney or your own data centres. This is a credible path for APRA-regulated entities.

Currency: USD only. No AUD pricing published.

GST: Reverse-charge likely applies. Confirm with your accountant before budgeting.

AU support: No Australian entity. US-timezone support. Enterprise contracts include a 48-hour custom integration SLA.

Market relevance: Lyzr's banking and insurance blueprints are directly relevant to Australian financial services firms and insurers navigating AI adoption under tightening APRA guidance. The compliance-first architecture is a credible response to ASD's published guidance on agentic AI (June 2026).

Agentic AI caution: Lyzr explicitly targets mission-critical autonomous agent deployments — agents that process customer documents, make routing decisions, and update records. Autonomous action at that level carries real risk: incorrect outputs, data leakage, or misconfigured access can cause material harm. The Responsible AI module provides guardrails, but they are not a substitute for human oversight of agent outputs in regulated contexts. Any AI agent handling personal information under the Privacy Act must be configured so your organisation can demonstrate how that data is collected, used, and stored — and that data sent to third-party LLMs (even via your VPC) is covered by appropriate agreements.

Alternatives

  • Relevance AI — Sydney-founded, Australian data hosting, better suited to teams without enterprise IT. Our Top Pick for the agent-builder category.
  • CrewAI — open-source multi-agent framework with genuine self-host data sovereignty. Higher developer requirement, but no per-run costs and full auditability.
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio — enterprise agent platform with Australian data centre options, deep Microsoft 365 integration, and AUD billing for M365 subscribers. A stronger choice if your stack is already Microsoft.

Bottom line

Lyzr earns serious consideration from Australian enterprise IT teams evaluating agent infrastructure for regulated environments. The VPC/on-premise deployment path, Responsible AI guardrails, and sector-specific blueprints are genuinely differentiated. But this is infrastructure for organisations with the technical capability and budget to deploy it. SMBs, non-technical operators, and teams without a dedicated IT function should not start here. If you are evaluating Lyzr, do the demo — but also get quotes from Relevance AI and Microsoft Copilot Studio before committing.

Score
