> **Verdict (TL;DR):** Taplio is the most purpose-built LinkedIn AI tool available. If you post on LinkedIn regularly and want AI-generated content, scheduling, engagement tracking, and lead outreach from one dashboard, it delivers. The Starter plan is a bait-and-switch — AI features start at $69 USD/month. For most Australian solo operators and consultants, it's useful but expensive for what you actually get without committing to Pro.

## What Taplio is

Taplio is an AI-powered LinkedIn growth and content tool built by Lempire, a Paris-based SaaS company that also makes lemlist and lemwarm. It launched in 2021 and was acquired by Lempire in 2022.

The core pitch is simple: use AI to write better LinkedIn posts, schedule them, engage with other people's content automatically, and find leads. It is LinkedIn-only. That narrowness is both its strength and its ceiling.

The tool sits inside a Chrome extension layer and a web dashboard. You connect your LinkedIn account, and Taplio can post, comment, and engage on your behalf — it mimics human behaviour patterns rather than using automation that breaks LinkedIn's terms.

It is aimed at consultants, founders, B2B sales professionals, and marketers who want LinkedIn to work harder for them without spending three hours a day writing posts.

---

## What it costs in Australia

Taplio is USD-only. There is no AUD pricing and no local billing entity. GST treatment will depend on your ABN status and how your accountant handles offshore SaaS — check with your accountant.

**AUD conversions use a USD/AUD rate of approximately 1.40 (September 2026). Figures are ex-GST: a GST-registered business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service; other buyers add \~10%. to your situation.**

| Plan | USD/month (annual) | USD/month (monthly) | AUD/month (approx, annual) |
| --------------------- | ------------------ | ------------------- | -------------------------- |
| Starter | $32 | $39 | \~$45 |
| Growth (was Standard) | $49 | $69 | \~$69 |
| Pro | $149 | $199 | \~$209 |

**Source:** taplio.com/pricing (accessed 26 June 2026). Re-read in a browser 30 September 2026: monthly $39 / $69 / $199, yearly $32 / $49 / $149 a month ($384 / $588 / $1,188 a year), 7-day trial, 30-day money-back guarantee. The June "Standard" plan is now called Growth.

**The catch:** The Starter plan includes no AI credits. The AI content generation, hook writer, viral post library, and carousel creator all require Growth or above. For most people reading this, the real entry point is $49 USD/month (\~$69 AUD/month annual billing).

## How it works in practice

You connect your LinkedIn account and the Taplio dashboard becomes your LinkedIn content command centre. The workflow runs like this:

1. **Content creation.** You open the AI post writer, give it a topic, a hook style (question, bold claim, story, list), and a tone. It generates a draft. For a Melbourne financial planner wanting to post about tax minimisation, you'd type the topic and pick "bold claim" — the output is usable roughly 60% of the time without significant editing.
2. **Inspiration and scheduling.** Taplio maintains a library of viral LinkedIn posts across categories. You can browse these by engagement rate, filter by industry, and use them as structural templates. Posts go into a scheduling queue with a content calendar view.
3. **Engagement.** Taplio can auto-generate comments on posts from accounts in your target network — helping you stay visible in feeds without manually typing replies. This works, though the AI comments are identifiably generic unless you configure them carefully.
4. **Lead gen (Pro only).** The Pro tier adds a B2B lead database, auto-DMs, mass connection requests, and lead tracking. This shifts the tool from content into outbound sales territory.

The Chrome extension is useful for in-feed AI prompts and quick stats on your own posts.

---

## What it does well

**LinkedIn post quality is genuinely above average.** Taplio's AI has been trained on high-performing LinkedIn content specifically. The hook suggestions, structure, and tone guidance are more LinkedIn-appropriate than generic AI writers like ChatGPT used without prompting. A 45-second post prompt can produce a credible 200-word LinkedIn post.

**Scheduling and content calendar.** Posting at consistent times matters on LinkedIn. Taplio's scheduler handles this cleanly, with optimal time suggestions based on your audience's active hours.

**Carousel creation.** Taplio generates LinkedIn carousel posts (PDF slides) from text prompts. These are one of the highest-performing post formats on LinkedIn, and having them generated automatically is a genuine time-saver.

**Analytics.** Taplio tracks your LinkedIn performance — impressions, engagement rate, best-performing posts, follower growth — in a cleaner dashboard than LinkedIn's native analytics.

**The Chrome extension.** The in-browser extension brings Taplio into LinkedIn natively, showing stats on other users' posts, surfacing your scheduled content, and letting you save viral posts for reference. It is free and useful even without a paid plan.

---

## What it doesn't do well

**It's only LinkedIn.** If you want Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, Taplio is useless. It is a single-platform tool at a multi-platform price. Many Australian small business owners need presence across more than one network.

**The Starter plan is misleading.** Marketing the product from $32/month and then withholding AI features until you reach $49/month is a classic dark pattern. The product that Taplio advertises — AI-powered content creation — simply does not exist at the entry price point.

**AI comment quality declines fast.** The auto-engage feature generates comments that can read as hollow or sycophantic unless you configure the prompts carefully. There is a real risk of your LinkedIn account leaving generic "Great insight!" style comments at scale, which damages your personal brand rather than building it.

**No Australian data residency.** Taplio and its parent Lempire are headquartered in Paris. Data is processed in Europe under GDPR rules. There is no Australian data sovereignty option, no ISO 27001 certification prominently published, and no stated compliance with the Australian Privacy Act beyond Taplio's general privacy policy. For consultants in regulated industries (finance, legal, health), treat this with appropriate caution.

**LinkedIn automation risk.** Taplio behaves like a human user, but LinkedIn's terms of service remain ambiguous on third-party automation tools. The risk of account restriction is low but not zero. LinkedIn has been known to flag unusual activity spikes. If your LinkedIn account is your primary business development channel, weigh this risk seriously.

**Customer support.** Support is email-only. Response times reported by users vary significantly, and there is no live chat on the lower tiers. For an Australian in AEST timezone, this matters.

---

## Australian fit

Taplio has no Australian-specific features, AUD pricing, or local data storage. The tool works for LinkedIn — which is actively used by Australian professionals — but nothing in its product is built with the Australian market in mind.

The B2B lead database (Pro tier) is predominantly US/Europe-weighted. Australian companies and contacts are present but coverage is thinner than for comparable US markets.

If you want AI that understands Australian business idiom or cultural context, you'll need to provide that yourself in your prompts. Taplio's AI writes in a US-first LinkedIn style by default — expect to edit for local tone.

The price point is also stiff by Australian standards. $69 AUD/month (annual) for a LinkedIn-only tool is a real commitment for a sole trader or small team. You need to be posting actively and converting that activity to pipeline to justify it.

## Alternatives

- [**Jasper**](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/jasper-review-australia-2026/) — a general AI writing assistant that can handle LinkedIn posts plus emails, ads, blog content, and social copy across all channels. More flexible, less LinkedIn-specific.
- [**Copy.ai**](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/copy-ai-review-australia-2026/) — cheaper and broader. Handles social copy across multiple platforms with AI, though less specialised for LinkedIn post structure and engagement.
- [**Predis.ai**](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/review-predis-ai-australia-2026/) — covers LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook with AI content creation, scheduling, and analytics at a lower price point. Less depth on LinkedIn specifically, but better value if you post to multiple platforms.

---

## Bottom line

Taplio is the most focused LinkedIn AI tool available. If LinkedIn is your primary marketing channel and you post at least three times a week, the Growth plan pays for itself in time saved. The carousel and hook generators alone are worth the entry price for active LinkedIn users.

It is not for everyone. If LinkedIn is one of several channels, or you're posting casually, the cost-benefit doesn't stack up. The Starter plan is not worth purchasing — skip straight to Growth if you're going in.

Australians should factor in the USD exposure, no AUD pricing, and the offshore data situation. For most professionals this won't be a dealbreaker, but it's worth knowing upfront rather than discovering it at tax time.

| --------------------- | --------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Value for Money | 3/5 | Growth plan (\~$69 AUD/month annual) is steep for a single-platform tool. Starter plan lacks the AI features being sold. |
| Ease of Use | 3/5 | Dashboard is clean; setup is quick. AI quality requires prompt tuning. Auto-comments need careful configuration. |
| Feature Depth | 4/5 | Deep LinkedIn-specific feature set. Post AI, carousel generator, scheduling, analytics, engagement automation, and Pro lead gen are all solid. |
| Australian Fit | 2/5 | USD-only, Paris-based, no AU data residency, no local support, thin AU lead database. LinkedIn coverage is real but tool is not AU-aware. |
| Reliability & Support | 3/5 | Platform is generally stable. Email-only support with variable response times. No live chat. AEST timezone gap is inconvenient. |
| **Total** | **15/25** | **⭐⭐⭐ Good** |

*Australian Fit note: Australian Fit is 2/5\. The five-star cap (requires AU Fit ≥ 4/5) does not apply at this score level. Rated ⭐⭐⭐ Good.*

Update history
- **30 Sep 2026 — re-verified by browser; prices hold, one plan renamed, Pro cheaper on annual billing.** `taplio.com/pricing` on an Australian connection (plan cards read from screenshots; they are not in the page's text layer): monthly **Starter $39, Growth $69, Pro $199**; yearly $32 / $49 / **$149** a month. The review's "Standard" plan is now **Growth**, and Pro's annual rate is $149, not the $199 the table showed. A "$76 AUD/month" figure in the prose and the VfM note was US$49 × 1.55; now \~A$69\. Plan name, table, source note, two FAQs (body and schema) updated. Bare `$`, no `A$`. `aud_native: false` already set. Score unchanged. Capture: `Dossiers/captures/taplio-pricing-2026-09-30.txt`; [Wayback 30 Sep 2026](https://web.archive.org/web/20260929221955/https://taplio.com/pricing).
- **24 Sep 2026** — **The grossed-up AUD column removed from the pricing table.** The table carried a second Australian column adding 10% GST to every converted figure, so each plan had two Australian prices and the higher one asserted a tax most of our readers do not pay: a GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN is **not charged GST** on an imported digital service. The ex-GST column is unchanged and is the price. Removed, and kept visible here per our price-history rule — the column headed *“AUD/month if GST charged (+10%)”*: Starter **\~$49**; Standard **\~$75**; Pro **\~$306**. `reviewed:` untouched per our dating rule.
- **24 Sep 2026** — **2 Australian figures recut, in the spelling nothing was checking.** These write the currency AFTER the number (*“$153 AUD”*), and sentry 18's pattern required it BEFORE, so every one of them was invisible to the 6 September corpus-wide reconciliation and to every sweep since. They were cut at about 1.55, the retired basis. Recut at US$1 = A$1.4045 (Frankfurter/ECB, 18 September 2026), ex-GST per our GST rule, and kept visible per our price-history rule: **$308 AUD → $279 AUD**; **$76 AUD → $69 AUD**. **No USD price moved and no score changed.** `reviewed:` untouched per our dating rule.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Taplio available in Australia?

The Pro plan is $149 USD/month on annual billing (approximately $209 AUD/month) or $199 month to month. GST may also apply depending on your ABN registration status. Prices are approximate and will vary with exchange rate movements.

### What is the difference between Taplio Starter and Growth?

The Starter plan (\~$32 USD/month annual) includes scheduling and basic analytics but no AI credits — meaning the AI post generator, hook writer, and carousel creator are locked.
