*Pricing figures updated 6 September 2026: USD prices are converted at the current rate (1 USD ≈ 1.40 AUD, verified 5 September 2026) and shown ex-GST, replacing the retired 1.55 + GST basis. A GST-registered Australian business that supplies its ABN is not charged GST on an imported digital service; other buyers should allow \~10% on top (*[*Methodology*](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/methodology/)*).*

> **Verdict (TL;DR):** Simplified does a lot for one subscription — AI writing, graphic design, short-form video and social scheduling under a single login. For a solo marketer or small AU business that wants to stop paying for four separate tools, it's a genuine money-saver. But you're billed in US dollars with no Australian entity, your content sits on US servers, and the AI writing is good-not-great. Treat it as a capable Swiss Army knife, not a specialist.

## What Simplified is

Simplified is an all-in-one marketing app. One subscription gets you four things that normally live in four separate tools: an AI writer for blogs and captions, a Canva-style design editor, a short-form video and clip generator, and a social media scheduler with basic analytics.

The pitch is consolidation. Instead of paying for Jasper, Canva, a video tool and Buffer, you pay for one app that does a passable version of each. For a busy operator running their own marketing, that's the appeal: fewer logins, one bill, content that flows from draft to design to scheduled post without exporting between apps.

It is not a deep specialist in any one lane. It's a generalist that's "good enough" across several — which, for a lot of small Australian businesses, is exactly the trade they want.

## What it costs in Australia

Simplified bills in **US dollars only**. There is no AUD pricing and no Australian billing entity — you'll be charged in USD and your bank or card will apply its own foreign-transaction conversion. The pricing page shows no GST line and says nothing about Australian tax, so whether GST is added at checkout under Australia's imported-services rules isn't something we can confirm from Simplified's own pages. Check the final total before you pay.

Pricing below is from the official pricing page (simplified.com/pricing, checked 20 June 2026). AUD figures are indicative, converted at \~1.40 USD.

| Plan | Official USD | Indicative AUD (ex-GST) | What you get |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------- | -------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Pro | US$29/mo (US$19/mo billed annually) | \~A$41/mo (\~A$27 annual) | 1 user, 7 social accounts, 10K generative AI credits, 1 AI agent, 5 GB storage |
| Business | US$79/mo (US$49/mo billed annually) | \~A$111/mo (\~A$69 annual) | 3 users, 15 social accounts, 30K credits, 5 AI agents, API access, 50 GB |
| Growth (agency) | US$199/mo | \~A$279/mo | 5 users, 30 social accounts, 100K credits, 10 AI agents, 1 TB |
| Enterprise | Custom (quote) | — | 10 seats, SSO/SAML, API access, workflow automations, priority support |

A note on plan names: in June 2026 Simplified's page showed Free, Simplified One and Enterprise. By 30 September 2026 it had gone back to Pro, Business and Growth, with no free plan (a US$1 seven-day trial instead) and Enterprise on a quote. Trust the live page; Simplified reshuffles its tiers often.

The AI quota is the catch. Quota counts every result the AI generates, paid monthly allowances don't roll over, and there is no longer a free plan to fall back on. Heavy writers can burn 100K words faster than it sounds.

## How it works in practice

You sign up, pick a workspace, and land in a dashboard that fans out to each module. The AI writer takes a prompt or template — blog intro, product description, ad copy — and returns a draft in roughly 10 to 20 seconds. You can push that text straight into the design editor, drop it on a template, and export or schedule it without leaving the app.

The design editor will feel instantly familiar to anyone who's used Canva: drag-and-drop, template library, brand kit (a "Brandbook" on paid plans). The video side generates short clips and auto-captions. The scheduler connects your social accounts and posts on a calendar, with light analytics on top.

The strength is the hand-off between modules. The weakness is that none of them is best-in-class — each is a competent 7-out-of-10 rather than a category leader.

## What it does well

- **Real consolidation.** Writing, design, video and scheduling in one app from US$29 a month (US$19 billed annually) genuinely replaces three or four subscriptions for a solo operator. The maths works if you'd otherwise pay for each separately.
- **Low barrier to start.** The design editor is Canva-familiar, so a non-technical owner is producing usable graphics within an hour, not a weekend.
- **A cheap way to try it.** A seven-day trial costs US$1 on every plan. (The June free plan, with 5,000 one-off AI words, is no longer offered.)
- **Fast drafts.** Captions and short blog sections come back in well under 30 seconds, which is fine for social-volume work.

## What it doesn't do well

- **The AI writing is mid-tier.** It's serviceable for captions and ad lines, but on a 1,000-word blog it goes generic and repetitive. You'll edit heavily. A dedicated tool like Copy.ai or ChatGPT produces stronger long-form.
- **No Australian anything.** USD billing, US data hosting, no AU support hours, no AU-context awareness in outputs. You're a long way from this company's mind.
- **Quota anxiety.** Because every AI result eats quota and nothing rolls over, you ration usage instead of working freely — the opposite of what an "all-in-one" should feel like.
- **Jack of all trades.** Each module trails its specialist rival. Scheduling is thinner than Buffer or Later; design is below Canva; video is basic. Fine if you want one tool — frustrating if any single job is your core need.
- **Shifting plans and naming.** The tier structure has changed more than once, so locking in long-term pricing certainty is harder than it should be.

## Australian fit

This is where Simplified is weakest, and it's the criterion that matters most to us.

There is **no AUD billing** — you pay in US dollars and absorb conversion and any foreign-transaction fee. There is **no Australian data residency**: Simplified's privacy policy says your information is stored and processed wherever it or its providers "maintain facilities" — an offshore, international arrangement, with no Australian-residency option named on its pages. The policy doesn't commit to a specific jurisdiction or to the Australian Privacy Act, so treat your data as sitting overseas under terms framed for other markets. Support runs on US time, and the AI has no built-in sense of Australian spelling, GST, or local context unless you prompt it every time.

For a small business posting social content, none of this is fatal. For anyone handling client data with privacy obligations, the offshore hosting is worth a hard think.

## Alternatives

- [**Copy.ai**](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/copy-ai-review-australia-2026/) — if AI writing is your real need and the design/video/scheduling is padding, a dedicated writer gives you better long-form output. Still USD, still no AU hosting.
- [**Canva Magic Studio**](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/canva-magic-studio-review-australia-2026/) — for design-led work, Canva's editor, template depth and AI features outclass Simplified's design module, and it has a clearer local presence.
- [**Jasper**](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/jasper-review-australia-2026/) — pricier, but a stronger choice for teams that want brand-controlled AI content at volume rather than a generalist bundle.

## Bottom line

Buy Simplified if you're a solo marketer or small AU business that wants one tool to handle the lot and you'd otherwise pay for four. At US$29 a month (US$19 billed annually) it's honest value for that buyer, and a US$1 seven-day trial lets you test before committing.

Skip it if any single job — serious long-form writing, polished design, real scheduling depth — is your core need, or if offshore data hosting and USD billing are deal-breakers. It's a capable generalist held back by mid-tier AI writing and zero Australian footing. Good, not great.

Update history
- **30 Sep 2026 — re-verified by browser; the plans were reshuffled back, and the free plan is gone.** `simplified.com/pricing` on an Australian connection: **Pro US$29 a month (US$19 billed annually)**, **Business US$79 (US$49)**, and on the agency tab **Growth US$199** and Enterprise on a quote. The June page's Free plan, Simplified One (US$24 / \~US$30) and US$399 Enterprise are gone — and the "Pro / Business / Growth" names this review called outdated are back. There is no free plan; every plan has a US$1 seven-day trial. Bare `$`, USD in the page data, no `A$`. Table, plan-name note, excerpt, a strength, the bottom line and three FAQs (body and schema) plus reviewBody rewritten. Score unchanged: the entry price is about the same and the Value for Money note did not rest on the free plan. `aud_native: false` set. - **20 Jun 2026** — First reviewed.
- **24 Sep 2026** — **The AUD column was never grossed up for GST, and every word around it said it was.** The header read *“gross-up; GST unconfirmed”* and the note beneath described a 10% uplift — while the figures themselves are plain conversions at 1.4045\. Checked before changing a word: across the 63 files carrying this wording, **141 rows convert at 1.4045 and none at 1.4045 × 1.10**. **No figure changed here; only the description of them did.** Two things were wrong beyond the arithmetic: *gross-up* names a tax uplift and was being used for a currency conversion, and *GST unconfirmed* is stale — our GST rule settled it on 5 September 2026, and a GST-registered Australian business supplying its ABN is **not charged GST** on an imported digital service. **No USD price moved and no score changed.** `reviewed:` untouched per our dating rule.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Simplified available in Australia?

Yes. It's a web app (with iOS and Android) you can sign up for and use from Australia. There's just no Australian billing entity, hosting or local support behind it.

### Does Simplified charge in AUD?

No. Simplified bills in US dollars only, with no AUD pricing — your bank applies its own conversion and any foreign-transaction fee. The pricing page shows no GST line, so check your final total at checkout.

### Is there a free plan or trial?

No free plan any more, but every plan starts with a seven-day trial for US$1\. (The June free plan, with 5,000 one-off AI words, has gone.)

### Is my content stored in Australia?

No. Simplified's privacy policy says data is stored wherever it or its providers maintain facilities — an offshore arrangement with no Australian-residency option named. Worth a hard think if you handle client data.

### Is Simplified good value for an Australian small business?

Yes, if you'd otherwise pay for separate writing, design, video and scheduling tools — one app from US$29/mo replaces several. But the AI writing is mid-tier; skip it if any single job is your core need.
