> **Verdict (TL;DR):** Rex is the strongest AI-enabled real estate CRM built specifically for the Australian market. Its new AI Admin feature genuinely eliminates the manual data entry that kills agent productivity. The catch: pricing is quote-only, which makes it hard to budget without booking a demo. For established agencies ready to commit, it's the standout local option.

## What Rex Software is

Rex is a cloud-based CRM designed specifically for real estate sales agents and agency principals. It was founded in 2011 by Alex and Anton Babkov alongside their mother Lana, and has grown to be trusted by over 10,000 real estate agents. That's not a small number — it puts Rex firmly in the mainstream of Australian real estate technology, not the fringe.

The software covers the full agency workflow: contact management, pipeline tracking, email and SMS campaigns, appraisal tracking, listing management, and reporting. What sets it apart in 2026 is a suite of AI features — still rolling out — that sit on top of the core CRM. These aren't cosmetic additions. AI Admin, the flagship feature currently in open beta, targets the most time-consuming part of any agent's day.

Rex is not a global product adapted for Australia. It was built here, marketed here, and its roadmap reflects the Australian real estate context. That matters when you're choosing a CRM you'll run your business on.

## What it costs in Australia

Rex does not publish pricing publicly. A demo is required to receive a quote.

| Plan | Monthly (AUD) | What you get |
| ------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| Starter / Professional / Enterprise (quote-based) | Not published — quote on request | Full CRM plus AI features; pricing confirmed via demo only |

Rex's plans page lists three tiers — Starter, Professional and Enterprise — but shows no prices; the only option is a "Request pricing" form (rexsoftware.com/plans, checked 8 June 2026). Third-party listing sites quote indicative figures, but they disagree: software-comparison directories cite roughly $99 per user per month, while other estimates run to $200-plus per user per month. These are indicative third-party numbers, not vendor quotes, and they conflict — so we won't print a single headline price. Your actual cost will depend on agency size, contract length, and which feature tiers are included. Rex does not publish GST treatment either; expect standard Australian GST on a business subscription and confirm the all-in figure at the quote stage.

This is a genuine weakness. A publication committed to telling readers what things cost can't do that cleanly here. If you are evaluating Rex against alternatives, budget for a discovery call before you can compare numbers. That is a friction cost in itself.

Rex does not appear to offer a free tier or a self-serve trial — no free trial was found on rexsoftware.com at time of review, 7 June 2026\. Confirm at demo stage.

## How it works in practice

### AI Admin: the feature that changes daily habits

AI Admin is the centrepiece of Rex's 2026 AI push. It is in open beta as of this review.

The pitch: instead of logging every call, note, and follow-up task manually in the CRM, you tell Rex what happened — by voice or by text — and it does the rest. Speak or type a quick debrief after a property inspection and AI Admin captures the note, logs the interaction, adds or updates the contact record, sets a follow-up reminder, and drafts a follow-up email. All of it from a single voice memo or a few sentences of text.

For anyone who has spent time in a real estate office, this is not a marginal improvement. Manual CRM data entry is the single most-complained-about task in agency life. Agents enter data late, enter it incompletely, or skip it altogether — then lose track of leads as a result. AI Admin removes the friction between what happens in the field and what gets recorded in the system.

Rex's product documentation describes AI Admin as capturing notes, logging calls, adding contacts, setting reminders, and drafting emails via voice or text input.

The practical benefit is not just speed. It's consistency. When data entry is this easy, agents actually do it — which means the CRM data is more complete, which makes every other feature (reporting, pipeline management, prospecting) more accurate.

### AI Prospecting: surfacing the right contacts at the right time

AI Prospecting is Rex's second major AI feature. It analyses the signals already sitting in your CRM — past interactions, property searches, enquiry history, engagement patterns — and ranks contacts by their likelihood to sell.

This is more than a sorted list. Rex surfaces context alongside the ranking: why a particular contact has risen to the top, and suggested talking points for the outreach call. An agent doesn't just get a name — they get a reason to call and something to say.

For a database-heavy agency managing hundreds or thousands of contacts, this is the difference between a prospecting session that feels like guesswork and one that feels like strategy.

### Natural language CRM queries

Rex also supports natural language queries against your CRM data. Instead of building a custom filter or pulling a report, you type or ask a question: "Show me buyers who looked at three-bedroom houses in Mosman last month." Rex returns the matching contacts.

This feature lowers the barrier to data analysis significantly. Agents who would never touch a report builder will use a search bar. It makes the CRM more accessible without dumbing it down.

### What's still coming

Rex has flagged two further AI features for late 2026: AI Nurture (automated relationship maintenance for long-cycle contacts) and AI Manage (workflow automation for agency principals). Neither is available as of this review. The current AI suite is substantive but not complete.

---

## What it does well

- **AI Admin is a genuine productivity leap.** Voice-to-CRM data capture eliminates the most friction-heavy part of an agent's admin workflow. This isn't a novelty — it directly addresses the reason most CRM data is incomplete.
- **Built for Australian real estate specifically.** Rex was designed for the AU/NZ market from the ground up. The workflow assumptions, terminology, and feature set reflect how Australian agencies actually operate — not a global product retrofitted for the local market.
- **AI Prospecting adds real signal to prospecting calls.** Ranking contacts by sell-likelihood with context and talking points turns prospecting from gut-feel into data-led outreach.
- **Local build and local focus.** Rex is a Brisbane-built CRM serving a customer base that is overwhelmingly Australian and New Zealand agencies. Note one caveat: Rex does not publish a current data-residency statement we could verify — its privacy-policy URL returned a 404 when checked on 8 June 2026, and the security pages do not name a hosting location. Earlier material described Australian hosting on Google Cloud, but we could not confirm that from current public pages. For agencies handling sensitive client information, ask Rex to confirm onshore data residency in writing at the demo stage — Australian Privacy Act alignment is cleaner when data stays onshore.
- **Scale and track record.** Over 10,000 agents is a meaningful number. Rex is not a startup asking you to take a risk. It has the customer base, the support infrastructure, and the incentive to keep the product working.

---

## Honest limitations

**Quote-only pricing is a transparency problem.** Rex publishes no pricing. You cannot evaluate cost without booking a demo. For a business decision this significant — a CRM underpins every revenue-generating activity in the agency — that is a real friction point. It also means this review cannot give you a clean value-for-money verdict. The indicative third-party figures we found range from about $99 to $200-plus per user per month and disagree with each other, so treat any single number with caution. Your quote may land anywhere in or beyond that band.

**AI features are still rolling out.** AI Admin is in open beta. AI Nurture and AI Manage are not yet available. Rex is selling a roadmap as much as a finished product. The core AI suite is useful now, but the full vision is late 2026 at the earliest. If you are evaluating Rex today, you are partly buying a promise.

**No self-serve trial.** You cannot kick the tyres without a sales conversation. For smaller agencies or individual agents evaluating multiple CRMs, the demo-first model adds time and sales pressure to what should be a straightforward product test.

**AUD pricing and GST not published.** Rex does not show prices on its website, so whether a quote is GST-inclusive is not knowable from public materials (checked 8 June 2026). Expect standard Australian GST on a business subscription and confirm the GST-inclusive figure at demo stage. Australian businesses need to know their all-in cost before signing.

---

## Australian fit

Rex is about as Australian-fit as a real estate CRM can be.

It was built in Brisbane. Its customer base is overwhelmingly Australian and New Zealand agencies. The product roadmap reflects AU/NZ real estate workflows — not US or UK market conventions. The team's support and account management are local.

Data residency is the one thing we could not confirm from current public pages: the privacy-policy URL returned a 404 on 8 June 2026, and the security pages do not state a hosting location. Agencies handling vendor and buyer contact data under Australian Privacy Principles 8 and 11 should get Rex to confirm onshore data residency in writing before signing.

The one mild negative is pricing transparency. Rex does not show AUD pricing on its website, and GST treatment is not published either. That is a frustration, not a disqualifier — but it means you will not know your actual AU cost until you are in a sales conversation.

AU customer support: Rex's support team location and hours are not publicly specified on rexsoftware.com — confirm at demo stage.

---

## Alternatives

- **Agentbox** — Australian-built CRM with strong listing and appraisal management. Consider if your agency is heavy on vendor-side workflows and you want an established alternative to Rex.
- **Salesforce for Real Estate** — Global CRM with real estate overlays. Consider if you need enterprise-grade customisation across a large multi-office group. Significantly more complex and costly. Not built for AU real estate by default.
- **HubSpot CRM** — General-purpose CRM with AI features. Consider if you want a free starting point and are willing to adapt a non-specialist tool to real estate workflows.

---

## Bottom line

Rex is the strongest AI-enabled CRM on the Australian real estate market right now. AI Admin solves a real problem — not a hypothetical one — and it does it in a way that agents will actually use. The combination of a Brisbane build, a track record across more than 10,000 agents, and a roadmap that keeps building makes Rex a serious long-term choice — though you should still confirm onshore data residency directly with Rex.

The pricing opacity is frustrating. A quote-only model protects Rex's ability to negotiate, but it makes it harder for buyers to make informed decisions — and harder for publications like this one to give you a complete value assessment. Before you sign anything, get the all-in AUD cost per user, confirm GST treatment, and test AI Admin in a live demo with your own data.

If you are running a mid-sized Australian real estate agency and manual CRM data entry is costing your team hours every week, Rex deserves a serious look. If you are a single operator or a very small team, the pricing model may not suit your budget — explore whether Rex has a lighter tier before ruling it out.

One caveat: AI Nurture and AI Manage are not yet live. The AI suite is good now, but the full picture is a late-2026 story. Come back to this review in six months.

| --------------------- | --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Value for Money | 3/5 | No public pricing makes genuine assessment impossible. Indicative third-party estimates range from about $99 to $200-plus per user per month and disagree. Strong features but the opacity is a real penalisation. |
| Ease of Use | 4/5 | AI Admin's voice-to-CRM input is a genuine ease win — built for agents who hate typing. Natural language queries lower the barrier to data analysis. Demo-only onboarding adds friction. |
| Feature Depth | 4/5 | AI Admin and AI Prospecting are substantive, not cosmetic. Natural language queries are a useful bonus. AI Nurture and AI Manage are still coming — scored on what exists today. |
| Australian Fit | 5/5 | Brisbane-built, AU/NZ focus, trusted by 10,000+ agents. As Australian-fit as this category gets on local build and market focus. Data residency could not be confirmed from current public pages and should be checked at demo — a caveat, not enough to drop the score given the genuine local credentials. |
| Reliability & Support | 3/5 | 10,000+ agents is a strong track record. AI Admin is still in open beta — stability unverified at scale. Support quality and hours unconfirmed from public sources. |
| **Total** | **19/25** | **⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good** |

*Note: Australian Fit scores 5/5, satisfying the Australian Fit gate (≥ 4/5 required for ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent or Top Pick designation). The 19/25 total places Rex at ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good — the gate does not cap this rating. A Top Pick designation in the Real Estate & Property AI category is warranted pending pricing transparency improvement.*

Update history
- **7 Jun 2026** — First reviewed.
- **21 Sep 2026 — ⚠️ “AI Admin” is now called** AI Assist**, and it is no longer in beta. Both claims run through this review and neither has been rewritten here.** The two cited feature pages (`/features/ai-admin`, `/features/ai-prospecting`) returned HTTP 404\. Rex has folded them into a single product page, `rexsoftware.com/products/real-estate-ai`, and the citations are re-pointed to its two sections. The replacement page carries the same descriptions this review quotes — “Dictate notes, log calls, add contacts, set reminders, draft emails — all in a single prompt” for the assistant, and a ranked contact list with talking points for AI Prospecting — so the feature substance holds. **Two things do not.** The phrase “AI Admin” **does not appear anywhere on Rex’s live site**; the feature is called **AI Assist** throughout, described as “your conversational agent just like Chat GPT or Claude built into your CRM”. And it is no longer presented as open beta — it reads as shipped, with only **AI Nurture and AI Manage** still marked “coming late 2026” (which matches what this review says about those two). This matters beyond the wording: **Reliability & Support scored 3/5 partly because “AI Admin is still in open beta — stability unverified at scale”**, and that reason has expired. Flagged for `aid-score-sync` rather than re-scored here, and the rename needs sweeping through the title, meta description, verdict and body at the same time. No same-day capture — archive.org was returning “Temporarily Offline” and HTTP 429 on 21 September 2026.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Rex Software available in Australia?

Yes — it's about as Australian as a real estate CRM gets. Rex was built in Brisbane, founded in 2011, and is trusted by over 10,000 agents across a customer base that's overwhelmingly Australian and New Zealand agencies.

### Does Rex charge in AUD?

Rex doesn't publish pricing at all — it's quote-only via a demo, with tiers (Starter, Professional, Enterprise) but no figures. Third-party estimates range from about $99 to $200-plus per user/month and conflict. Expect standard Australian GST; confirm the all-in figure at quote stage.

### Is there a free plan or free trial?

No. We found no free tier or self-serve trial on rexsoftware.com (checked 7 June 2026). You can't evaluate Rex without booking a demo — a real friction point.

### Does Rex store data in Australia?

We couldn't confirm it. The privacy-policy URL returned a 404 on 8 June 2026 and the security pages name no hosting location. Earlier material described Australian hosting, but we couldn't verify it — get onshore data residency confirmed in writing at demo stage.

### Who is Rex best for?

Mid-sized Australian agencies where manual CRM data entry is costing hours each week — AI Admin's voice-to-CRM capture is a genuine productivity leap. Single operators or very small teams may find the quote-only pricing model doesn't suit their budget.
