> **Verdict (TL;DR):** If you run cattle or sheep in Australia and still keep records on paper, in a diary, or in a spreadsheet, AgriWebb is the livestock-management platform to trial first. It's Sydney-built, it already manages more than a quarter of the nation's grazing animals, it prices in AUD off a public per-head calculator, and there's no lock-in contract. The genuine AI here — Foragecaster, a machine-learning pasture forecaster trained on 60 million animals — is real but still in beta, so buy AgriWebb for its records, mapping and grazing tools today, and treat the AI as an upside that's arriving, not a finished feature. Skip it only if your connectivity is so poor that even an offline-first mobile app can't sync, or if you run a tiny hobby block where pen and paper still wins. **Score: 21/25 — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** *Australian Fit: 5/5 — gate passed.* *Last reviewed: 7 June 2026 by Adam.*

## What AgriWebb is

AgriWebb is livestock farm-management software. You map your property paddock by paddock, record your mobs, log animal movements, treatments, weights, deaths, rainfall and compliance events, and get the lot back as analytics — cost of production, average daily gain, stocking rate, paddock performance. It replaces the paddock diary, the ute-dashboard notebook and the kitchen-table spreadsheet with one app that works on your phone in the yards and syncs to a map back at the house.

It was co-founded in 2014 by Justin Webb, Kevin Baum and John Fargher, and is run out of Sydney. The origin story is genuinely agricultural, not a tech founder borrowing a paddock for a photo: Justin Webb built the first version to run Eddington, his family's 150-year-old sheep and cattle property, after realising it ran on "pen-and-paper records and trial-and-error management". That heritage shows in the product.

Here's the honest framing up front. For most of its life AgriWebb has been a records-and-analytics platform, not an artificial-intelligence one. The day-to-day product is excellent digital bookkeeping for a grazing business — and that is what you are paying for. The AI story is newer, and we cover it squarely below. We're reviewing it in this category because that AI layer is now real and shipping, not because the whole app is a neural network. It isn't.

## What it costs in Australia

AgriWebb prices in Australian dollars off a public calculator: you enter your head count of cattle and sheep and it estimates your annual cost. Pricing scales with the size of your operation rather than a flat per-seat fee. There are three tiers, billed monthly or annually, with the annual option discounted and no long-term lock-in contract.

| Plan | What you get | Price |

| **Essentials** | Interactive farm map plus core records in one place | Calculated by head count of cattle and sheep — "only pay for the animals you manage." No fixed dollar figure is published; the calculator returns a quote once you enter your stock numbers |
| **Compliance** ("Most Popular") | Audit-ready records and detailed record-keeping | As above, higher tier. Movement Planning add-on **A$300/year** |
| **Performance** | Data visualisation and advanced analytics | As above, top tier. Grazing Planning add-on **A$300/year**; Cibo Labs PastureKey from **A$1,000/year** |

A **40% discount on year one** was advertised across all plans at the time of review, and a **free trial** plus an interactive demo are available.

The public calculator asks only for your total cattle and total sheep numbers, not for a stock-unit (DSE) figure, and AgriWebb does not publish a per-DSE rate or a per-head dollar table on the pricing page. The upshot for a grower: there is no published rate card to do the maths yourself. You enter your numbers, the calculator returns a quote, and that quote is the only firm figure. We've declined to publish a per-head or per-DSE rate because none is anchored to a primary source.

**GST note:** AgriWebb is an Australian company selling to Australian businesses, so GST treatment is the straightforward domestic case, not the imported-services complication you get with US tools. Expect 10% GST on the subscription. A GST-registered grazing business can generally claim the input tax credit and the subscription is typically a deductible business expense — but confirm both against your operation with your accountant. This is general information, not tax advice.

The pricing is fair and transparent in structure. The one frustration is that you can't see your actual annual cost without putting your stock numbers into the calculator — there's no published "from A$X/year" anchor for a quick gut check.

## How it works in practice

You start by drawing your property: paddocks, laneways, water points, infrastructure, dropped onto an interactive satellite map. Once the map exists, the app becomes the place you log everything that happens on it. Move a mob between paddocks with a drag-and-drop; record a drench, a calving, a death, a weight session; assign a GPS-tagged task to a worker with a photo attached.

The work happens on a phone, in the yards or on the bike, which is the right design for this job. AgriWebb is built to capture data at the point it's created, so you're not re-keying a notebook at the kitchen table that night. Over a season that compounding of small, accurate records is what powers the analytics — cost of production per kilogram, average daily gain, stocking rate against carrying capacity.

For compliance, the records double as your audit trail. Treatment logs, movement records and animal histories are the evidence base for the NLIS and LPA programs every Australian red-meat producer deals with. Keeping them in one queryable place rather than a shoebox of paper is the unglamorous core value, and it's substantial.

The grazing planner sits on top: drag mobs through a rotation, see paddock rest and feed status, plan the next move. Plug in the Cibo Labs PastureKey integration and the planner gets fed real pasture data — satellite-derived dry-matter estimates that drop "Kgs of Dry Matter per Hectare directly to your AgriWebb map" every five days, auto-populating Feed on Offer for each paddock. That's where the platform starts to feel less like a ledger and more like a decision tool.

## The AI: Foragecaster, and how real it is

This is the part that earns AgriWebb a place in an AI directory, so we'll be precise about what is shipping and what is still being built.

**Foragecaster** is AgriWebb's machine-learning forecasting product. It's trained on data from **60 million animals tracked over eight years by more than 12,000 AgriWebb producers**, and it generates probabilistic forecasts for pasture growth and availability, combined with climate data, to help growers forward-plan grazing. Dr Kenny Sabir, AgriWebb's VP of Research and Development, frames the method plainly: "Using data from 60 million animals tracked over the last eight years by more than 12,000 AgriWebb producer members, we're able to generate machine-learning models that could help predict livestock growth".

It's a serious, well-resourced effort. Foragecaster is a **A$6.5 million, three-year project** led by AgriWebb with Cibo Labs, FLINTpro, Food Agility, the University of Technology Sydney and the Queensland University of Technology. Meat & Livestock Australia has publicly backed the work as an AI planner "set to boost pasture, land and production forecasting". Those are exactly the institutional partners you'd want behind a livestock ML model.

Now the honest caveat. **Foragecaster is in beta.** AgriWebb's own page says producers "can join the beta by accessing the Marketplace through their AgriWebb portal," with early access to features rolling out over roughly the next 1.5 years. Beef Central reports full commercial deployment is expected within two to three years. The grazing-planner component is already available as a Marketplace add-on, but the broader sustainability-metrics and livestock-growth forecasting are still maturing.

So: the AI is genuine, it's Australian-trained on Australian-scale data, and it's the most credible local livestock-ML effort we've seen. But it is not yet the finished, lean-on-it-every-day forecaster the marketing implies it will become. Buy AgriWebb for the records and grazing tools you'll use tomorrow; count the AI as a strong, partly-shipped bonus.

## What it does well

- **The market-leading dataset, turned into a moat.** More than 25% of Australia's grazing animals are already managed in AgriWebb, across 17,000+ producers worldwide. That scale is what makes Foragecaster's 60-million-animal training set possible — no overseas tool has anything like it for Australian conditions.
- **Built for the paddock, not the desk.** Offline-tolerant, phone-first data capture at the point of work, with drag-and-drop mob movements and GPS-tagged tasks.
- **Real pasture data via Cibo Labs.** Satellite-derived dry-matter estimates land on your map every five days and auto-fill Feed on Offer, turning the grazing planner from a whiteboard into a data-driven tool.
- **Transparent, AUD, no-lock-in pricing.** Priced in Australian dollars off a public calculator, billed monthly or annually, cancellable. Rare honesty in agtech.
- **A genuine Australian AI effort with institutional backing.** Foragecaster's UTS/QUT/MLA/Food Agility partnerships and A$6.5m budget make it the most credible local livestock-ML project going.

## What it doesn't do well

- **The AI is beta, not finished.** Foragecaster's full forecasting suite is still 1.5–3 years from commercial maturity. If you're buying specifically for AI-driven prediction, you're an early adopter, not a customer of a settled feature.
- **Connectivity is still the bush's tax.** AgriWebb's offline-first design helps, but pasture data, satellite layers and cloud sync all assume you eventually get a signal. In genuine black-spot country — much of remote Australia — the experience degrades, and that's a structural limit no app fully solves.
- **Price opacity until you commit your numbers.** There's no published "from A$X/year" figure; you must enter livestock counts to see a cost. The AI and pasture add-ons (A$300–A$1,000+/year) stack on top, so the all-in cost for a data-rich setup isn't obvious at a glance.
- **Data portability is on-request, not self-serve.** Data residency is a genuine strength here (see Australian fit), but portability is the softer spot. AgriWebb's privacy policy will transfer your data "in a digital format to a third party" only when you ask and only "where it is technically feasible" — there's no documented one-click export of your full farm record. The policy also speaks to *personal* data; it doesn't separately spell out ownership of your operational farm records, so confirm your export and exit path with their team before you build a decade of history in it.
- **Lock-in is practical, even without a contract.** There's no contractual lock-in, but once your maps, mob histories and compliance trail live in AgriWebb, migrating elsewhere is a real undertaking. The switching cost is the records, not the contract.

## Australian fit

**Local credentials.** This is as Australian as agtech gets. Sydney-founded in 2014, run from Sydney, born on a real Australian grazing property, and now managing more than a quarter of the nation's grazing animals. The product understands DSE, mobs, drenching, NLIS-style compliance and Australian grazing systems because it was built inside one.

**Compliance context.** AgriWebb's records map directly onto the programs Australian red-meat producers must satisfy — NLIS movement records, LPA treatment and chemical logs, audit trails. The platform doesn't lodge to government systems for you, and it isn't a substitute for your own LPA/NLIS obligations or for professional agronomic or veterinary advice — but it gives you the evidence base those programs demand, in one place.

**AUD and GST.** Priced in AUD off a public per-head calculator, billed monthly or annually. As a domestic B2B purchase, expect 10% GST, generally claimable as an input tax credit by a GST-registered business; confirm deductibility with your accountant.

**AU support and context.** Australian-headquartered with local roots, the platform reflects Australian conditions throughout. AgriWebb publishes a dedicated Australian support line — phone 02 8417 3054, text +61 482 092 688, email support@agriwebb.com — staffed Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Sydney time, with call-back booking and live chat as well. Its head office is Surry Hills, Sydney.

**Data residency — and it's onshore.** This is the answer Australian growers want: AgriWebb stores customer data on Australian servers. Its privacy policy states plainly, "Our servers which we use to store your personal information are located in Australia," with offshore processing limited to named service providers in the UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas. For Australian users the data controller is AgriWebb Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 79 643 115 815), based at Surry Hills, Sydney, and the policy is written to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, with complaints routed to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Onshore storage under Australian privacy law is a real point of difference from US-hosted agtech, and it strengthens the Australian-Fit case rather than qualifying it. The one thing still worth getting in writing is your full-record export path — portability is handled on request and only "where it is technically feasible" (see above).

The Australian-Fit case is overwhelming. Australian-built, Australian-led, AUD-priced, training its AI on Australian livestock data at a scale no competitor can match. **Australian Fit score: 5/5.**

## Alternatives

- **Halter** — virtual fencing and AI-driven herd movement via solar GPS collars. Consider this if your priority is automating cattle movement and grazing on the ground, not record-keeping. A different problem solved with harder AI. See our [Halter review](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/review-halter-australia-2026/).
- **Cibo Labs** — the satellite pasture-biomass engine that feeds AgriWebb. Consider it standalone if you want paddock-level feed data and don't need the full farm-management platform. See our [Cibo Labs review](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/review-cibolabs-australia-2026/).
- **DataFarming** — satellite and variable-rate tools aimed more at broadacre cropping than livestock. Consider this if your operation is crop-led rather than grazing-led. See our [DataFarming review](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/review-datafarming-australia-2026/).
- **Pairtree Intelligence** — an Australian farm-data aggregator that pulls many sensors and tools into one dashboard. Consider this if you want a connective layer across mixed hardware rather than a single livestock platform. See our [Pairtree review](https://www.theaidirectory.com.au/review-pairtree-australia-2026/).

## Bottom line

AgriWebb is the livestock-management platform most Australian graziers should trial first, and the numbers explain why: it already runs more than a quarter of the country's grazing animals. It's built here, it understands DSE and NLIS and the realities of running stock, it prices fairly in AUD, and it doesn't lock you into a contract. As digital record-keeping for a grazing business, it's the category benchmark.

The AI is the honest asterisk. Foragecaster is a serious, well-funded, Australian-trained machine-learning forecaster — genuinely the most credible local effort of its kind — but it's still in beta and 1.5 to 3 years from full maturity. The Cibo Labs pasture integration is the real-AI feature you can use today; the deeper predictive layer is arriving, not arrived. So buy AgriWebb for what it does now and treat the forecasting as upside.

Two things to settle before you sign: get the all-in annual cost from the calculator including any add-ons, and get your data-export and exit path in writing. The good news on data is already settled — AgriWebb stores Australian customer data on Australian servers under the Privacy Act 1988 — so the open item is portability, not residency. Do that, and for a cattle or sheep operation still running on paper, AgriWebb is an easy recommendation. It isn't our category Top Pick — that turns on which tool best matches your specific job — but it's the safest, most Australian first move in the category.

Yes. AgriWebb offers a free trial plus an interactive demo, and a 40% year-one discount was advertised across all plans at the time of review.

### Where is my farm data stored?

Onshore. AgriWebb's privacy policy states its servers storing customer data are located in Australia, written to the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles — a real point of difference from US-hosted agtech. The open item is portability: full-record export is handled on request, "where technically feasible," so get your exit path in writing.

### Is the AI actually usable yet?

Partly. Foragecaster, the machine-learning pasture forecaster trained on 60 million animals, is genuine and Australian-trained but still in beta, 1.5 to 3 years from full maturity.
