- Description: Peec AI is the European pure-play for tracking how AI engines describe your brand. Transparent flat pricing, unlimited users, and EU-hosted data set it apart. But there is no AUD price, no Australian presence, and it does monitoring well while leaving the fixing to you.

EU, not Australia. Backend and databases run on Google Cloud via Google Ireland.

**The gate:** Five stars need 21+ and Australian Fit of at least 4/5.

> **Verdict (TL;DR):** Peec AI is a Berlin-built tool that answers one question and answers it cleanly: *when people ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot or Google's AI for a recommendation, does your brand get named — and what does it say about you?* It tracks your visibility, citations, sentiment and share of voice across six AI engines, compares you to competitors, and pushes the data into Looker Studio, Google Analytics and Search Console. What makes it stand out in a crowded, mostly-American category is its pricing and its plumbing: **flat, published prices** starting at **$95/month (≈ A$133)**, **unlimited users on every tier**, daily tracking even on the entry plan, and — the part Australians attentive to privacy will care about — **data hosted in the EU through Google Cloud's Ireland region** rather than the United States. The catch is the same one that dogs every tool in this category for us: there's **no AUD price and no Australian-dollar option — and Peec does not name the currency it charges in at all**, no Australian support and no local presence, and it's a **monitor, not a fixer** — it tells you where you stand but won't write the content to improve it. A strong, fairly-priced European alternative. Not the Australian-native pick, because there isn't one.

## What Peec AI is

Peec AI is an "AI search analytics" platform — what this new category calls an AEO or GEO tool (answer-engine optimisation / generative-engine optimisation). The job is simple to describe and increasingly urgent: as your customers stop typing queries into Google and start asking an AI assistant *"who's a good \[accountant / SaaS / trade\] in \[city\]?"*, Peec AI tracks whether your business gets mentioned in the answer, how often, in what light, and against which competitors.

It's a **pure-play** — it does this one thing, unlike Semrush or Ahrefs which bolt AI-visibility tracking onto a giant SEO suite. The company behind it is **Peec AI GmbH**, registered in Berlin, and it's not a side project: it raised a **US$21 million Series A** (reported in euros as ≈€18M) announced **18 November 2025**, led by Singular, taking total funding to US$29M ([Peec AI announcement](https://peec.ai/blog/we-raised-21m-series-a-to-help-brands-win-in-ai-search?ref=theaidirectory.com.au)) — and says it now serves **3,000+ brands and agencies** ([peec.ai](https://peec.ai/?ref=theaidirectory.com.au), September 2026). That funding and customer base matter for a category where half the tools are three-month-old start-ups.

The features that actually exist today (not roadmap):

- **Visibility tracking across six engines** — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. You give it a set of prompts (the questions a customer might ask), and it reports how often you appear in the answers.
- **Sentiment and citation analysis** — not just whether you're mentioned, but whether the mention is positive, and which sources the AI cited to describe you.
- **Competitor benchmarking** — track rivals' visibility alongside yours and see share of voice.
- **Country and language segmentation** — filter results by country IP and by prompt tags (persona, funnel stage), so you can compare, say, awareness prompts against purchase-intent ones.
- **Integrations and export** — CSV export, an API, and connectors for Looker Studio, Google Analytics and Search Console (the integrations sit on the higher tiers).

That's a focused, competent monitoring product. The question for an Australian buyer is whether the price, the billing friction and the "monitor-only" scope add up.

## What it does well

- **Transparent, flat pricing — published, not "talk to sales."** In a category full of quote-on-request enterprise pricing, Peec puts real numbers on the page for all three self-serve tiers. You know what you'll pay before you book a demo — although, as below, not in which currency.
- **Unlimited users on every tier.** Even the $95 Starter plan doesn't charge per seat. For a small marketing team or an agency, that's genuinely unusual and genuinely good — most rivals meter users.
- **EU data hosting.** The application backend and databases run on Google Cloud Platform via **Google Ireland Ltd.**, and the company operates under GDPR. For an Australian business in a regulated sector, or anyone who'd simply rather their brand and competitive data not sit on US servers by default, this is a real point of difference from the US-hosted pure-plays.
- **Daily tracking, not weekly, even at entry level.** The Starter plan refreshes daily. Some competitors reserve daily data for higher tiers.
- **Country and language coverage that includes Australia.** It can track prompts against an Australian IP and reports across 115+ languages and markets, so you can genuinely see how AI engines describe you *to an Australian asking the question* — which is the whole point for a local business.

## What to watch out for

- **No AUD price — and no stated currency at all.** Peec prints a bare `$` on every plan with no currency selector, and neither the pricing page nor its Terms of Use says which dollar it means `(not confirmed by the vendor)`. What is certain is that there is no Australian-dollar option, so your real monthly cost moves with the exchange rate and your card issuer adds a conversion fee on top. Ask sales to name the currency in writing before you sign.
- **"Unlimited countries" needs an asterisk.** Peec's marketing says you can track unlimited countries and languages at no extra cost, but the **plan tiers cap countries per project** — the live pricing page lists "Countries per project" as a per-tier dimension (Starter single-country; multi-country from Pro up), with truly unlimited reserved for Enterprise. `(peec.ai/pricing names "Countries per project" as a tiered limit but renders the exact per-tier numbers via JavaScript, so they could not be read from the live page; secondary aggregators report ~3 countries/project on Pro. Confirm exact per-tier country limits in-account before relying on them.)` The practical read: Australia is covered, but if you need many markets, check the cap on your tier.
- **It's a monitor, not a fixer.** Peec tells you where you stand. It does **not** create content, rewrite your pages, or automate the work of improving your AI visibility. You'll still need a writer (or another tool) to act on what it shows you.
- **Prompt limits fill fast at the low end.** Starter includes **50 tracked prompts**. For a business with a wide product range or many service-area questions, that's tight — you'll feel the pull up to Pro (150 prompts) sooner than the entry price suggests.
- **API and SSO are Enterprise-only.** If you want to pull the data into your own stack via API, or need single sign-on for a bigger team, you're pushed to custom Enterprise pricing. No white-label / agency-branded reporting either.
- **No Australian presence or local-hours support.** Support is chat and email (email added on higher tiers), run from Europe. There's no AU office, no local phone line, and help during Australian business hours means catching the tail of the European day.

## What it costs in Australia

There's no native AUD pricing, so the figures below are conversions — your actual charge depends on the exchange rate on the day and any conversion fee your card adds. **And there is a genuine ambiguity to flag: Peec prints a bare dollar sign and never says which currency it is.** No currency code appears on the pricing page, there is no currency selector, and the Terms of Use commit only to prices being "net of applicable VAT" `(not confirmed by the vendor)`. The AUD column below reads the figures as **US dollars at 1.4045** (ECB reference rate, 18 September 2026), which is the straightforward reading of a `$`; if Peec means euros, add about 15% — the euro reading at 1.6095 is given in the last column so you can see the spread. Ask sales to name the currency in writing.

On VAT: Peec is a German company, so EU/German VAT rules apply at checkout. For an Australian business buyer, the usual position for EU SaaS sold to an overseas business is that **EU VAT is not charged** (a valid business customer outside the EU is generally out of scope), but Peec doesn't spell this out on its pricing page, and **Australian GST treatment on imported digital services is your own reverse-charge / GST consideration**. `(peec publishes no AU-specific tax note; confirm the VAT line on an actual Peec invoice before assuming it's VAT-free, and check your own GST position.)`

| Plan | Published price ($/month) | Annual billing ($/month) | Approx AUD if USD (1.4045) | Approx AUD if EUR (1.6095) | What you get | |---|---|---|---| | **Starter** | **$95** | $80 | ≈ **A$133** *(A$112 annual)* | ≈ A$153 | 50 prompts · 1 project · choose 3 AI models · daily tracking · unlimited users | | **Pro** | **$245** | $205 | ≈ **A$344** *(A$288 annual)* | ≈ A$394 | 150 prompts · 2 projects · choose 3 models · daily tracking · unlimited users | | **Advanced** | **$495** | $420 | ≈ **A$695** *(A$590 annual)* | ≈ A$797 | 350 prompts · 5 projects · daily tracking · unlimited users · multi-country · Looker Studio integration | | **Enterprise** | Custom (talk to sales) | — | Custom prompt volume · all models · unlimited projects/countries · API access · SSO · daily or weekly tracking |

*Prices re-read in a browser from an Australian connection on 21 September 2026, replacing the 23 June figures (€85 / €205 / €425). Annual billing carries a published 15% discount. A one-week free trial is offered, and an Enterprise tier is quote-only. Additional AI models beyond the included three are now published on the page at $30 (Starter) / $70 (Pro) / $140 (Advanced) per month for one extra model — this clears the June `(not confirmed by the vendor)` flag on add-on pricing, which had relied on a €30–€140 range from secondary aggregators. AUD conversions are ours and exclude any card conversion fee and any tax adjustment at checkout.*

**Value verdict:** For what it is, Peec is fairly priced, and in Australian dollars it costs about what it did in June — the sticker moved but the exchange rate moved with it. The $95 Starter (≈ A$133) is one of the cheaper serious entry points into AI-visibility tracking, and "unlimited users" makes it cheaper still for a team. But the 50-prompt ceiling on Starter is the real constraint — budget on the basis that a growing business lands on Pro ($245 ≈ A$344) before long. Against the US benchmark, Profound, Peec's entry tier undercuts Profound's Growth tier comfortably; against a Semrush AI Visibility add-on (US$99/domain for 25 prompts), Peec's $95 for 50 prompts and unlimited users is the better-value standalone monitor. The one thing it is *not* honest about is the currency.

## How it works in practice

The workflow is the standard one for this category, done tidily. You set up a project for your brand, add the prompts you want to track — the questions a customer might ask an AI assistant about your kind of business — pick which of the six engines to watch and which country to track against, and Peec runs those prompts daily and reports back. You see how often you're named, the sentiment of the mention, which sources the AI leaned on, and where you sit against competitors you've added.

The Australian angle works because you can pin tracking to an Australian IP, so you're seeing what an AI tells *an Australian* who asks — not the US-default answer most tools show. The integrations (Looker Studio, GA, Search Console) on the Advanced tier are the difference between a dashboard you log into and data that lands in the reporting your team already reads, which is where a tool like this earns its keep for an agency.

Where it stops is deliberate. Peec shows you the gap; it doesn't close it. There's no content generation, no page-rewrite suggestions engine, no automation. That's a clean scope — it does monitoring well rather than everything badly — but it means Peec is one tool in a workflow, not the whole workflow.

## Australian fit

- **Available in Australia:** Yes — web-based, no regional lockout. Tracks Australian results when you set the country to Australia.
- **Pricing in AUD:** **No** — verified in a browser from an Australian connection on 21 September 2026\. Peec shows a bare `$` with no currency selector and names no currency anywhere `(not confirmed by the vendor)`. Read as US dollars at 1.4045: Starter ≈ **A$133**, Pro ≈ **A$344**, Advanced ≈ **A$695** a month. Read as euros at 1.6095 it is about 15% more. Either way your real cost moves with the exchange rate.
- **GST / VAT:** No AU-specific tax note published. As a German company, EU VAT rules apply at checkout; EU VAT is typically out of scope for a business buyer outside the EU, but confirm on an invoice. Australian GST on imported digital services is your own consideration. `(not confirmed by the vendor)`
- **Data residency:** **EU, not Australia.** Backend and databases run on Google Cloud via Google Ireland. Better than the US-only pure-plays for privacy-minded buyers, but it is not Australian hosting, and some processors (Google, Stripe) may transfer parts of the data to the US under Standard Contractual Clauses / the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- **Certifications:** GDPR compliance stated in the [privacy policy](https://peec.ai/legal/privacy-policy?ref=theaidirectory.com.au) (GDPR Arts. 6, 12–22, 28, 44 ff.). That policy names no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or IRAP certification. Absence from the policy is not proof none exists, but enterprise procurement should ask.
- **Local support:** None AU-specific. Chat and email support, run from Europe — no AU office, no local-hours line.
- **AU-aware outputs:** Partial. It can *track* Australian results, which is the meaningful part; but the product, docs and support are built for a European/global audience.

The honest summary: Peec scores better on the *data-location* half of Australian fit than any US-hosted rival, and worse on *billing and support*. It can answer the Australian question — "what does ChatGPT tell an Australian about my business?" — but it asks you to pay in a currency it will not name and get help from Europe to do it.

| **Otterly.AI** | The cheapest serious monitor — around US$29/month. Lighter than Peec, but if you just want a low-cost ongoing check, it's the value pick. See our Otterly.AI review. |

## Bottom line

Peec AI is the strongest European answer in a category that's otherwise dominated by American tools, and for an Australian buyer that matters in a specific way: your brand and competitive data sit in the EU under GDPR, not on US servers by default. Add transparent flat pricing, unlimited users on every tier, and daily tracking from the $95 entry plan (≈ A$133), and it's a genuinely sensible, fairly-priced monitor.

But this is The AI Directory Australia, and on the things we weigh hardest it lands mid-table. There is no AUD option — and no stated currency at all — so your cost floats with the exchange rate and you cannot be sure which one. There's no Australian presence and support comes from Europe. And it's a monitor, not a fixer — it shows you the gap and leaves the closing to you.

It scores **17 — Very Good** — because the product is well-built and well-priced while the Australian fit is middling: strong on data location, weak on billing and local support. Under our Australian Fit gate (an Australian Fit of 3/5 keeps it below five stars and out of the category Top Pick slot), it can't be the category winner — but it earns a clear place as **the EU alternative and the privacy-conscious runner-up**, especially for a team that values data staying in Europe and unlimited seats. If Peec adds AUD billing, an Australian or APAC data region, or local support, we'll revisit.

Update history
- **21 Sep 2026 🇦🇺 Currency verified by browser — Peec no longer shows an Australian a euro price, and every figure here had moved.** Read live on an Australian connection at `peec.ai/pricing`. **This review was built on “euro-only billing” and flat euro prices, and neither survives the page.** What an Australian browser is served is **Starter $95 · Pro $245 · Advanced $495 per month**, or **$80 · $205 · $420** on annual billing (a published 15% annual discount, which this review never mentioned), against the **€85 / €205 / €425** carried since June. Extra AI models, previously a `(not confirmed by the vendor)` estimate of “roughly €30–€140” from aggregators, are now published on the page at **$30 / $70 / $140 a month** by tier — that flag is cleared. The prompt, project and user allowances (50/150/350, 1/2/5, unlimited) are unchanged and correct. **On the currency itself, the honest answer is that Peec does not say.** The prices carry a bare `$`, there is no currency selector, and the strings `EUR`, `USD` and `AUD` appear nowhere on the pricing page. Peec's own Terms of Use are no help either — they commit only to prices being “net of applicable VAT” and name no currency. So the claim that it “bills only in euros, with no USD option” is no longer supportable and has been removed; what is supportable is that **there is still no AUD price and no Australian-dollar option**, which is what Australian Fit 3/5 rested on. The AUD column is now cut from the dollar figures at **USD→AUD 1.4045** (ECB, 18 September 2026) with the euro reading given as the upper bound at **1.6095**, so a reader can see the spread either way. **A method note for the next checker:** a case-insensitive search for `EUR` on Peec's terms page returns a hit, and it is **“force majeure”** — a currency-code regex will invent a euro price on this vendor. Two smaller fixes while here: the review quoted AUD at **1.61 in the table and 1.65 in the footnote and the Australian-fit list**, three different Australian prices for one plan; and Peec now says **3,000+ brands and agencies** where this review said 2,000+. **No score change** — in Australian dollars the entry price is within a few dollars of where it was, unlimited users and daily tracking are intact, and the local-fit gaps are unchanged. ## Frequently asked questions

### Is Peec AI available in Australia?

Yes — it's web-based with no regional lockout, and it can track how AI engines answer for an Australian audience when you set the tracked country to Australia. There's no Australian office, though, and support runs from Europe.

### Does Peec AI charge in AUD?

No. Verified in a browser on 21 September 2026: there is no AUD option, and Peec does not name its billing currency at all — the plans show a bare dollar sign with no currency selector, and the Terms of Use say only that prices are net of VAT. The entry Starter plan is $95/month, about A$133 read as US dollars at 1.4045 or A$153 read as euros. Your real cost moves with the exchange rate, plus any card conversion fee.

### Where does Peec AI store my data?

In the EU. The application backend and databases run on Google Cloud Platform through Google Ireland, under GDPR — an advantage over the US-hosted pure-plays for privacy-minded buyers. Some processors (Google, Stripe) may transfer parts of the data to the US under Standard Contractual Clauses.

### What does Peec AI actually do?

It tracks whether and how your brand appears when people ask AI engines — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews — for recommendations, including sentiment, citations, share of voice and competitor comparison. It's a monitoring tool; it doesn't write content to improve your visibility.

### Who is Peec AI best for?

Small-to-mid marketing teams and agencies who want a focused, fairly-priced AI-visibility monitor with unlimited seats, and who value EU data hosting over a US-based tool. Buyers who want their visibility *fixed* (not just measured), or who need AUD billing and local support, should weigh that against the unstated-currency, monitor-only scope.

6. OMR Reviews — Peec AI pricing listing (cross-check of €85 / €205 / €425 tiers, prompts, projects, 1-week trial; last updated March 2026) — [omr.com/en/reviews/product/peec-ai/pricing](https://omr.com/en/reviews/product/peec-ai/pricing?ref=theaidirectory.com.au) — secondary, used only to corroborate JS-rendered pricing — checked 23 June 2026\. **Superseded 21 September 2026** by a direct browser read of the vendor page (source 1); kept for the record because it is where the euro framing came from.

*Secondary (context only): aipeekaboo.com Peec AI review (feature/limitation cross-check), Sesamers / Tech.eu / Sifted (Series A reporting). Used for context and cross-checking, not relied on as primary. The Series A figure is now anchored to Peec's own announcement (Source 5: US$21M / ≈€18M, 18 Nov 2025). Two items remain flagged `(not confirmed by the vendor)` after the 21 September 2026 browser re-read: the billing currency, which Peec names nowhere, and the VAT/GST treatment, for which no primary tax note exists. Add-on model pricing is no longer flagged — the vendor now publishes it. Both open items should be confirmed in-account or on an actual invoice.*
